Re: FA Cup Champions 14/15 Celebration Thread
get in.
I may call my child alexis. Signing of the decade. Its exactly the type of player we have needed. In isolation he may not be "as good" as CR7 and messi. but my god he lifts the overall team performance up.
Maybe I'm being a sensationalist drunk but he is my only God right now.
Villa didnt really come to party and clearly there was a big margin in quality. But I dont think this is a case of Villa playing poorly, I really think that every single player just wanted to bring their A game to this final. Great to watch and hopefully will carry on into 15/16.

Maybe you are confusing Mesut and Alexis?

That is a very condescending remark. Don't think any of us would appreciate that sentiment here.

Something rather interesting from the Parade live feed. The 'new' FA Cup is only two years old. And Arsenal is the only club to have lifted this one.

Make of this, what you will.
Theo:'I have been here a long time and this is the best group of people I have worked with and will work with' (something like that).

You didn't know this before that we are the only team to have had our hands on that shiny piece of silver

Fantastic performance, excellent result and a great way to end the season.
Re: FA Cup Champions 14/15 Celebration Thread
Noticed a few things Arteta did brilliantly as the sideline captain. For one, as Ox mentioned, he told him to warm up and force the issue so he'd be on the pitch when he won even though he otherwise might not have played, he told Per to lift it first as he has been leading the club for most of the season (kudos to Per for having him lift it with him) and brought Diaby in on the celebrations.
Also, the fact that he didn't go full kit Terry on us was nice, leaving his track pants on. Love the guy and with the way he speaks in interviews, you'd swear he was a manager in training. Hope he retires here.

Re: FA Cup Champions 14/15 Celebration Thread
Hope he stays with us beyond retirement.
He's not an Arsenal man through and through, given his long Evertonian past. But he signed at a time when we were at our lowest and has been a rock around whom we have been rebuilt, on and off the pitch.
Almost definitely the best captain we've had since Henry. What a leader. Not based on charisma, but based on leadership and respect.
