We shouldn't have problems with any of those teams. We might have it tough at Bilbao if we are drawn against them, but we should get a good enough score at the Emirates.

So we play one of: Athletic Bilbao/Lille/Copenhagen/Standard Liege/Besiktas
Would probably like to avoid Bilbao and maybe also Lille. I guess Kobnhavn or Liege would be the easier ties. Beisktas somewhere in the middle.
No reason why we shouldn't get past any of those 5 teams, however. We're talking about aspiring for atleast a QF spot, if not more.

If it is Bilbao, maybe Arsenal can submit a semi-serious bid for Iker Muniain or Aymeric Laporte just to ruffle a few feathers.

besiktas have a pretty decent spine with jermaine jones, Oğuzhan Özyakup and demba ba.
the return of ozyakup could cause us a lot of problems if we dont buy a dm before the tie, he'd probably destroy us like every AM does atm

The first leg is on the 19 of August at the Ataturk Stadium (venue of the 2005 Champions League final). Second leg is on the 27th.

Besiktas will be "tricky" but they won't be playing at home, they'll be in the national team stadium, and we should beat them over two legs. General feedback I got on twitter was that their attack was good but their defence is very poor.

Can't wait to see Ozyakup again and see how much he progressed. He used to be very good at Arsenal.
As for the tie, we'll get it done I think should we have no injury crisis by then. Good we didn't get Athletic.

And ahead of next week's Champions League qualifier against Besiktas, Arsene has also had his say.
Unsurprisingly, he's preaching caution against a Demba Ba-inspired Besiktas, having seen how they out-gunned Feyenoord.
