Sponsors synonymous with your club
I was trying to think if I could remember Inter having a different shirt sponsor than Pirelli, and as far as I can remember Inter have been sponsored by them. I vaguely remember seeing photos a long time ago of Inter with Fiorucci on their shirts and an old friend of mine used to have a Inter kit with FitGar on it. Don't even know if it was the 90s or 80s
Pirelli is completely synonymous with Inter shirts. I can't even imagine any other sponsor being associated with them.
So what about your club? Which sponsor is your club most synonymous with?
With Liverpool it obviously has to be Carlsberg. I wish they'd offer us more money and come back
Our deal ran with them from 1992 till 2010. 18 year marriage.
- Going into next year still sponsored by Pirelli:

Re: Sponsors synonymous with your club
The links between Pirelli and Inter are personal. Marco Provera is the Chairman and CEO of Pirelli, and he is a member of Inter's board of directors. He is an Interista and has been his entire life. Provera and Moratti are friends, and if I recall correctly he used to own shares of Inter. I don't know if he still does under Thohir's reign.
Provera was Chairman of Telecom Italia for almost a decade, as well. He played a crucial role in the original Calciopoli case, as many of the phone intercepts that condemned Juventus were from TIM Mobile.

Re: Sponsors synonymous with your club
Not my clubs, but Bayer Leverkusen should be pretty obvious. Same with VW, er VfL Wolfsburg - but then, these clubs were originally founded as company sport clubs, which is why they are the only clubs in the Bundesliga who are owned by companies. (That is, they weren't bought by a company, but the companies are the reason these clubs were founded in the first placed).
As for Bayern - they have a shirt deal with the Telekom for years now. On the plus side, the T on their shirt looks pretty decent. And of course they have the companies Adidas, Allianz and Audi who each hold around 9 percent of the shares of Bayern.

Madrid has been sponsored by adidas since 1980, but there was a gap between 1985 and 1998 where Hummel and Kelme were our kit manufacturers, So adidas only accounts for 16 years...

Weren't JVC your shirt sponsors for decades? I remember O2 during the invincible era and that was pretty awesome. But JVC is the one I always align Arsenal with.
Btw I don't mean kit manufacturer teamanarchy, just the main club sponsors that get their name in the shirt.

Re: Sponsors synonymous with your club
I loved the Liverpool kits with Carlsberg.
It was a fantastic combination for football kits.
Anyway the Historical Inter sponsor was MISURA ( industry of food products) , it lasted a decade from 1982-83 to 1990-91 and it's the partnership sponsor - club who the old Inter fans remember with more love . Because it was the first long-lived sponsor and for some players . It was 2nd sponsor in Inter history, the first Inno Hit (1981-1982) lasted just a year..
Basically , Misura was also synonymous with Inter shirts as Pirelli now. Probably the old Interisti hardly could imagine any other sponsor being associated with them as the Interisti of new generation think about Pirelli now.
The Inter with Misura coincided with the period of "German Inter", probably also for this reason old Inter players remind with pleasure and nostalgia those years, players as Rummenigge, Lothar Mattahus, Brehme, Klinsmann , wore this kit. Also the Inter badge was different
after Misura , we had Fitgar, but it lasted just a year. The last year of Matthaus to Inter. Basically it is remembered just for this. Then after Fitgar, we had Fiorucci , from 1992-93 al 1994-1995.
The Inter kits with Fiorucci were characterized from a blue much more clear and similar to sky- blue .
Inter- Fiorucci is reminded basically for this sky blue (I 'd like to see again) and for Uefa Cup 1994. We won this cup with this kit .Main star during the Fiorucci era was Dennis Bergkamp
then we closed with Fiorucci in 1995, and from 95-96 new president Moratti and new sponsor : Pirelli.
And it still resists.
I'd prefer to change not only for new thing, but expecially because we don't get so much money if compared to other clubs.
I saw other clubs had Pirelli too anyway , as Velez Sarsfield.

Re: Sponsors synonymous with your club
About other Italians club
the most solid liaison between Juve and a sponsor was with Ariston . Ariston has to do with household appliances
and Roma ... even if I am not a Roma fan ,I must admitt they had the most fascinating link
Roma had the Barilla sponsor since 1980 to 1994
I appreciated also Lazio with Cirio ( milk ) , other solid partnership
and Parmalat ( milk too ) with Parma of course
the partnership with Parmalat and Cirio lasted many years, it ended simply because the 2 companies went bankrupt.
and Lazio and Parma died , because the companies were of their presidents.
I always associate Arsenal to JVC

Re: Sponsors synonymous with your club
Sega was the sponsor for our gold third kit in the 2001/2002 season; the one we happened to win the league at Old Trafford in, so it's very memorable to Arsenal fans at least.
But yeah, we had JVC from 1981 to 2000. Dreamcast sponsered the 01/02 kit, then it was O2 from 2003 to 2006. It's been Fly Emirates from that point.

Re: Sponsors synonymous with your club
I actually loved how no sponsor name appeared on our shirt in the past.
This season we have to endure the ugly Qatar Airways on the front, Beko on the left sleeve, and Intel on the inside of the shirt.
