Would that be such a bad idea though? He's doing a great job with the City youth isn't he?

Anyway it's moot, as

Mclaren flopped massively with England but he actually did a decent job at Twente. Won them the league and made Bryan Ruiz look like he was in Suarez's league.

Whether if McLaren is happening or not I'd ignore that because Luke Edwards is a clueless nutjob.

Bloke who is head for North East stuff for the Telegraph he may not have his name on the piece but he's responsible.

Anytime telegraph are mentioned with Newcastle it's best to ignore it completely.

Why is it a play-off Robes? I thought Lazio would finish third, even if Napoli wins, because of a vastly superior goal difference?

It's blatantly McClaren lol, they are just plugging names in to get people excited.

I'm not fooled, btw the other name on the list is apparently Laudrup which further makes me think it's PR BS.

Newcastle cannot keep Carver, they were as relegation form under him as you can be. No way they're keeping him.

I reckon Moyes would rather be in the Premier League than at Sociedad and theoretically he should be perfect for the Toon.

You underestimate how little Mike Ashley gives a shit about competing.

The answer is zero btw, all he cares about is the cheapest option possible and Carver fits the bill. I have been convinced he's getting the job for a couple of months now.
