Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V8
Well it can also be argued that it's also in their hands. Matter of fact it already is. Then it just comes down to the Liverpool - City game if Liverpool win tomorrow.El Chelsea Fuerte wrote:El Gunner wrote:If Liverpool win tomorrow it's in their hands.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:
Going by recent results i'd say nobody does
Atm they look most likely imo.
But wait what about City???
City don't look at their best atm. I can see them dropping points to weaker teams in the league, something I can't see Liverpool doing atm with their good attack and decent balance in their play.

Liverpool winning the league would be LOLworthy (because it'd be so unexpected).

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V8
Anyway Aston Villa took away points to all top 4 ... It won against City and Chelsea at Villa Park, it tied at Anfield ( only 2 teams - including the Aston Villa - didn't lose there so far) and it won at Emirates ( the only one to do it? ).
Strange team, the English Osasuna.

If only we can somehow manage to still be within good distance after our run of tough fixtures

Yeah Armstrong made his debut.
I'd actually prefer he play over Cisse at this point.
Cisse is beyond help and we don't really have anything else to play for.
Wouldn't mind seeing a few others get some time too.

There was no headbutt lol, that's just an opportunistic camera shot where their heads touched as they moved away from one another

Knee jerk is strong in this thread.
Chelsea still remain title favourites.

No, no, City can lead by four points (one for goal difference). They are favorites.

Chelsea title favs
If anyone is title favorites at this point, it's City (and they have been this whole season)

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V8
City were absolutely average against Hull, it took a brilliant individual performance from Silva to get the 3 points yesterday.
When City win both their "games in hand", call them favourites, but it's no easy feat considering they look tired and defence is looking very ordinary. Not too mention their best player in Aguero has another injury set back.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V8
The amount of reverse jinx in this thread is making my eyes water. The race is wide open, there are no favourites, no underdogs no little horses. Honestly so far, I've never looked beyond 4th for liverpool, but it all depends on today's match against united, it will always be difficult even if united were to be on a 10 match loosing streak, but if we can get a good result from today, then I just might just dare to believe!

Even Edu is posting on a day like this
What a Sunday, two massive derbies of English football. I feel like Messi in a Burger King.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V8
This is really a sliding door for Liverpool, since there's the Premier League I don't know how many times there was a similar crossroads.
It happens just in a derby , the match most difficult, it would mean the final maturity.
Difficult match to be predicted , extremely amusing for a neutral , much less for a fan
Someone knows the starting up of Liverpool and Manchester United?

Rodgers and Moyes and Rooney, don't think they're posting here, though.
