Pepe made the squad but some of them have to be cut because 26 players were called in total including Llorente and Casemiro

Does Llorente have potential to play in the first team ?

yes he has

such a great talent he is. He will get promoted to Castilla next season and hopefully our new coach at least acknowledge him

The level of fail that Di Maria is reaching is astounding. Granted, all our starting front line was utter shat. But Di Maria can't even male an open straight pass... unbelievable.

Varane out for CDR final methinks too.

Possibly the worst first half this season, but a good comeback in the second half, Kaka looked lost for most part, it's a shame Varane got injured, we've been very unlucky with injuries this season.

I thought Alonso was poor right after he came on it was from losing possession in a dangerous position that resulted in the corner from which the goal came.

Modric was fantastic again today and so was Di Maria, Higuain looked lost for most parts but took his goal very well, Friday can't come too soon.

Di Maria was god awful... i can't believe you thought he was good lol.

Nobody was good enough today though, except maybe Nacho & Albiol.

Nacho was very good. He is a must for next season. He's already better than Arbeloa ever was. Great squad player.

Kaka can't take on a player to save his life anymore. It's quite the shame.
Di Maria his running around offering absolutely nothing often gets misconstrued as being helpful or playing well to some people here.

Kinda sucks Varane will be missing the final, especially since I've this feeling Atleti will win it

Sport dimaria was great and was the ONLY one doing anything of note in the final third. Kaka can't even get past a pregnant lady these days and Morata his move to Sevilla couldn't come soon enough

Di Maria was one of the shattiest players on the pitch... if you think running into a wall with your head down play after play is good, then i don't know what to say lol. Why is he the one taking all the shots ffs. That's not his job. There's Higuain up front who is making run after run and he never sees him.

The winger is supposed to read the striker's runs and position himself to get him the ball. He never, ever does that. He either tries a miracle, bad angle pass or takes a shot. He's also supposed to help flow in the midfield.... again, nope.

He is absolutely terrible this year. He was good his first year and inconsistent last year. This year, he's fallen of a cliff.

There is nothing he can do if he has to work on his own. He was great when Varane was playing because Varane offered that extra outlet on the wing but when Xabi was subbed on and they scored Essien just didn't join in the attack leaving DiMaria to do all the hardwork himself and it results in more shots and late decision making etc

there is a reason people called him and cacktrao one of the best partnerships in europe and he did great in his first season with Ramos at his side. Sometimes I wonder what exactly you want him to do, pass sideways everytime he gets the ball??

Carvajal couldn't come soon enough

It's actually really simple and Di Maria is absolutely worthless at the basics:
- If there's no good play, hold the ball for a bit and make a safe pass. Wait for an opportunity before attacking it.
- The first option is not look at your feet and dribble ffs. Lift your head first to see the pitch and the setup.
- Make yourself available to the midfielders, especially if they're being pressed. Don't either stand there like a statue or make a striker run. Your job is to help flow first, not score.
- Read the field tactically for the team. Don't read things only for yourself.

It's amazing. It's as if Di Maria learned the game by playing PS3 as opposed to receiving any coaching.

Are you that blind when it comes to your Di Maria bias?! he did nothing at all, just running without looking, he misplaced so many passes I was about to hit my head at the wall, absolutely shit performance, ruined most chances when it went through him. I don't want to see him near our pitch at all next season.

Yes. Valencia, City 3-2, the one vs Barca in which he humiliated Puyol, & Valladolid at home to name a few.

Di Maria's problem is decision making. he lack's intelligence in his game.

Coentrao sits on the bench when he wasn't meant to. The bench laughs at him and he goes to the stands.

It's amazing how much blind Di Maria is, he just doesn't want to play simple at any cost, it's like playing a safe pass is considered a curse to him.

He sees a free player overlapping and still prefer to do the impossible, my gosh i want to smash his face to the brick wall sometimes.
