How are we chokers?

Based on what I've seen of Real Madrid/Barca/Bayern this season, I think Bayern have been the best overall. Their defending is impeccable, possession is good, they're tactically good, all round good team and impressive to watch.

Dortmund: They are my favourite team. With low budget, loads of youngsters and play a beautiful football every neutral likes to see. Too young and will certainly choke.

Madrid: They couldn't match Bayern last season and this season they aren't even as good as last season while Bayern have improved. Also lost to Dortmund at group stages quite deservedly, and had it not been for refereeing decisions they wouldn't even be here. They can beat Barça alright.

Barcelona: Abysmal at defending and on set pieces and don't press well. On an odd day Messi might save them, but overall they have edged every opponent.

I hope Dortmund face one of the Spanish teams tbh. Real Madrid and Barcelona they can do, Bayern extremely hard to beat in two games.

Bayern are the slight favourite in my eyes, but let's be real, Real or Barca can beat any team on their day...

bayern do look the best, you cant lie about that. if they had played barca today, barca would have been humiliated.

While I'm sure he will get flamed for this response, as a Bayern fan I actually agree that until we show the mental toughness to live up to our obvious talents we will be viewed as a great club that couldn't finish the job in the modern era.

I think this has to be done at the club level first in order for it to spread this belief to the German NT. Once they have this, with the crop of Germans coming up, they could surpass everything Spain has done in this decade.

Bayern winning the league already is enough mental toughness for me. And after what happened last year...

They never let up over the course of a season and stomped on everyone. And of everyone left in the CL, I just think they've got too much quality.

Dortmund have the quality and apparently there is something in the stars, but they're so young, so inexperienced at this level...I don't think they'll do it. If they edged past Malaga (although they outclassed them both legs), I don't know how they'll do against some opponents of the class they'll face. Beating Malaga and Shakhtar is no easy feat, but this is something else and I don't think they have the necessary tools.

Barca's defense is awful and are far too inconsistent. We are reliant on Messi and our pressing game which we must rely on against teams of the quality we'll face is not good enough. Our defense will be exposed. That being said, on our day we can be unbeatable...but I don't think that's enough to justify winning the CL.

Madrid are even worse than Barca and have needed refereeing decisions to go their way to get here. Thoroughly outclassed by Man U, they won't beat Bayern, and Dortmund have already beaten them.

Overwhelming favorites for me, Bayern are.

Not to pile on, but I can think of a few things, last season Madrid were far and away the best team in the world but you laid an egg against us in both legs. I would like to say we were clearly better going in, but I would just be acting like a blind fan.

This season you are still better than Barcelona yet you aren't even winning your own league.

Oh, and your pretty close to us in terms of the last time you actually won a Champions League...

Bayern won't win it. It almost never works like that. Teams looking the most convincing early on tend to crash out in the latter stages while other favourites which scrap through in the early stages suddenly come to life when it matters. Remember Germany 2010? Same hype. Or Italy last year after the semis? I would bet everything on Bayern not winning it tbh.

Bayern are ridiculously underrated in this thread. They really are in a different league than the rest right now.

I like Bayern but people are forgetting that Germans are one of the biggest chokers in football. Expecting Bayern to easily win this competition sounds a bit absurd to me.
