Football Injuries Empty Football Injuries

Post by MJ Tue Apr 09, 2013 1:07 pm

Just finished a match last night and have black bruises under my big toenails that have built up a decent amount of pressure and pain. After reading about toe bruises online it's obvious that this is the result of the trauma of kicking the ball and not uncomfortable shoes (although it could be a combination of the two) but I want to get back to playing as soon as possible without injuring my toes the same way.

I read about lancing (piercing them with a needle to relieve pressure) but that's generally for finger nails and only as a last resort to save the nail at that. Most remedies don't take into account that I'm gonna be out kicking the ball again, even after resting it. Does anyone have any sort of advice for a footballer? It would be greatly appreciated. Sad

I got the same bruises, the pain has faded, its been over a month but the bruises are still there. I would also like some advice.

P.S. Google is not a good friend this time bounce
