Juventus insist they won’t consider their transfer market strategy until this season has come to an end.

Director general Beppe Marotta was again questioned on the possibility of a top player arriving in the summer, but the official was reluctant to discuss options.

“We are just thinking about our objectives for this campaign,” Marotta noted on Wednesday. “We’ll evaluate things further down the line.

“However, our present squad should be respected.”

While Marotta was cautious over what the squad could look like next season, he was adamant that boss Antonio Conte would still be in charge.

“He’ll stay with us. I’m 100 per cent sure of that,” the former Sampdoria employee continued. “Antonio represents Juventus-ness and he has a great relationship with the President.

“Could he become a kind of Sir Alex Ferguson? I hope so. I’m in favour of a Coach with such a profile.”
