Sturridge > Ba & Torres Empty Sturridge > Ba & Torres

Post by Gil Sat Jan 19, 2013 10:23 pm

He's miles better than post kneeless Torres and he will always be better than Demba.

The club would have realized this if we didn't keep swapping managers every six months though.

Bold prediction but unless Falcao/Cavani come to the PL next year I can see him finishing as top scorer in the League next year. Yes he's that good.

Let's not exagerate. He is not better than Demba ba as a n9 . And there was no way he was going to start instead of OsMaZard

That's Danny jinxed.

watch him go on a scoreless run now.

First player to score in his first 3 games at Liverpool since Ray Kennedy

This a joke? Once Sturridge grows some balls, bulks up abit and stops shying away from physical contact he'll be World Class.

He's a poacher, a finisher, a creator, dribbler & a pace merchant. Complete footballer, just needs to add hunger to his game. I'm sure Rodgers and Suarez will help develop that side to his game.

Not a fluke either. He scored in each of his first 5 games when he was on loan to Bolton.

Yeah so we all know now that Chelsea was the problem who are terrible at developing young players.

Lets move on now.

Even though you're trolling again you're spot on here. Chelsea has become a talent graveyard. Wouldn't wish this club on any young player.

He's a poacher, a finisher, a creator, dribbler & a pace merchant. Complete footballer, just needs to add hunger to his game. I'm sure Rodgers and Suarez will help develop that side to his game.

I don't think he shies away from Physical Contact out of fear but out of his recent fear of calf injuries in which develops a sense of care away from heavy physical contacts. I don't think he should bulk up all that much either. Pato did the same all too fast and slowed down along with having his skeletal structure unable to handle the weight stress. Other examples are Agbonlahor. Yes it should be a timely process but his physique isn't his problem.

Gil also, hunger isn't the problem at all. Hunger is what got him out of Chelsea to seek the role he truly believes he can play in. Hunger is what got him those three goals with lightning fast instinct and reflex. Hunger is what he has shown to Liverpool in busting his gut every minute he is one much to the fans delight. If anything we have endeared to him because of his extreme hunger and motivation to play and disappointment on his face when he is subbed off.

His problem so far is his decision making and that isn't the common term in what you're thinking. What I mean is, he needs to learn to execute better decisions when he has time on the ball (within the box) and in open spaces as this is where he tends to 'freeze' and shoot when under the pressure of that situation. So Gil the key word here is composure with the ball on his feet and in open spaces. Funnily enough he performs far better when under tighter and more constricted spaces which shows he can play a CF.

Aside from that, he has shown to be a very complete player in his passing, vision, link-up, shooting, excellent instinct and ability to finish. It almost amazing how he has added so much impact yet also has shown a tremendous understanding of Rodger's system. His near telepathic understanding with Suarez, one touch release into space and movement seems as if he has played under this system for years.

Our assessment of him is just what I expected in his strengths and his minor flaws if only that he has performed quicker then we imagined.

Only thing that I did not expect from him was his right foot in which I initially thought was week but it seems he has worked to improve that weaker foot over his spare practice time. Even made 2 excellent passes with that.

Chelsea have lost a talent in which isn't even a finished product. Just turned 23 and is improving by the game. Sky is indeed the limit.
