Tactics and Formations

i would like to know what will be the formation of liverpool and their starting players next season.

i havent been watching epl for the couples of years but always been a fan of the team.

Hmm..........I am trying to have a guess at the squad eleven on the first day of the season if people are fit

I suppose Adam and Wickham deals are already done...and had United not stole Jones, he would have been that new CB

That looks like a very competitive squad with great depth.

i think we will mostly be playing a (flexible) 442

Expect this to change with new signings.

I think our blue-print formation will be 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 depending on you see the wide-men as wingers or wide-forwards!!!

Don't think Henderson will play on RW, that place will go to Suarez with Downing (wish we would get Albrighton instead) taking LW.

the thing is, all our players are mobile in attack. Suarez is everywhere, Carroll drops deep a lot (though I want him to stay in the box)...Kuyt goes from left to right...it's gonna be something very flexbile. will be interesting to see how we form up given Kenny's preference of CMs

We can't really predict the starting line up or formation until we know exactly what our signings will be. Everything thing thus far is little more than speculation.

Ya but Arbeloa played at RB. Dossena didn't play that much. Keane didn't play much either.

And our basic formation was not 4-3-3. It was 4-2-3-1

Arguable IMO.

Agger will be crocked.

who are we kidding...

I see Agger as our defensive star.....He will actually be fit for the preseason(in which he hasn't participated in 2-3 years i think). And if Skrtel stays consistent, these two could form a terrifying partnership. Carra and the new young CB will be covers (unless the young CB is a beast of a defender, then i see him him taking Skrtel's place)

Dont think so.Will be phased out next season.Agger when fit will start and Skrtel is better than Carragher.And if we buy a new cb Carra could be 4th choice next season

I have to agree -164 Redoranje.. Formations can be realistically discussed only after August 1st.. We always leave it to the last ..
