Pepe 'out for a long time'

Juventus have warned Simone Pepe “will have to be out of action for a long time yet” after he suffered a tear to the same thigh muscle.

The winger has already barely stepped on to the field this season due to the left thigh strain, but had been preparing for a proper comeback.

However, today the club website released a statement confirming “Pepe will have to be out of action for a long time yet.

“Over the last few days, the player suffered a new muscular problem at the semi-membrane level of the left thigh.

“It is a I-II degree lesion in the area of the previous lesion, which had healed. To avoid further setbacks, he will have a period of complete rest and treatment, so will only return when his condition is completely healed.”

Say what you want, but he is bad. Don't need him at all. He is clumsy and his crosses are awful every time, the only thing he is good in is motivation, which is not quite enough to be a key player. Giachherini is better than him, if you want a decent highly motivated sub.

Wish him a speedy recovery though, injuries are the worst for a footballer, I just don't think we actually need him.

I have to agree.
I'm sad he's injured and I hope he recovers, I have a lot of respect for him.
But if he was fit I fail to see what kind of role he could have apart from rotational player at best

One of the best players last season his goals were vital also that lazio goal was WoW.


Ppl forget how many games he saved us and how vital he was. When you put pepe in game in 70' min he is driving the opposition crazy
