Desktop PCs Empty Desktop PCs

Post by Highburied Sun Sep 16, 2012 12:08 pm

I want to build a super PC but there's one problem... Where can I steal these parts?

Intel Core i7-3960X BX80619i73960X Extreme Edition Processor - Six Core, 15MB L3 Cache, 1.5MB L2 Cache, 3.30 GHz (3.90 GHz Max Turbo), Socket R (LGA2011), 130W, No Fan, Unlocked, Retail

64 GB Ram

GeForce GTX 690

Any suggested website where I can get Computer parts for lower prices?

@Legend

You mentioned something interesting in cell phones thread.

Dual core can be better than quad core in some cases.

How?

some software doesnt really put those 2 extra cores to use, like i have some programs for school, whose versions come out every year but still always use only 1 core.

Because its Quad some expect amazing performance.
But it all depends on usage and what someone is using their machine for

not sure if that applies to PC's as there are only two major processor creators.

But in mobile processor most of them are custom made and then you have to take into account what type of OS your running on it

IM ALMOST THERE....

Motherboard: Asus P9X79 Deluxe (Intel X79 ATX)

CPU: Intel Core i7 3820 (3.6GHz) QUAD CORE 130W (six core preferable but way too expensive)

RAM: Motherboard supports up to 64 GB. I’d like to start with 16 GB, depending on the market. Slowly upgrading to 64.

Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce GTX +, Probably will go with 680. Some stores dont even have 690.

Sound: Creative Recon3D Fatal1ity Champion PCI-E

Network: 802.11n Wireless PCI-E or USB Card

Hard drive: 128 SSD primary HDD.

Hard drive 2: 10000 RPM, 2 TB

CD/DVD Rom: 12x Blu-Ray Burner SATA (black)

Case: Preferably metal grey or black.

Power Supply: 1050W

Very strong build, how much it'll cost ?

BTW you don't really need to buy a 690, you can buy two 670 and SLI it.

Desktop PCs Metro_2033_5760_1080

As you see there will be no big difference and it'll cost you much less.

jeeezzzzzzzz thats n..ts! what r u tryin to build a Roman Mainframe???

ok once u really assemble all of that, do make sure to tell us performance and stuffs .... im so jealous, i want to see the assembling and the whole shebang myself....

btw with all that killer fortress assembling, u gotta think about cooling.... r u going to integrate a water cooling system? cause with all that super system u gotta think better than water cooling. i have been reading there is like liquid nitrogen or helium cooling too... jeez.

btw unless ur absolutely blasting to max overclocking then maybe water cooling is just enough for good ventilation.
