Re: Transfer Rumours | Tactics | Who to buy/sell etc
Hey Zealous, Punta Pelota is a fun show, recommend it to everyone that understand a bit of spanish or learning.
thing is, got to be careful with the info thrown at you, i can say that from my own experience, some of the stuff said there are true and most are wrong too. all the guys there are out to get "exclusive" tho, hilarious moments, always.
when they organize a debate around a dailymail article on a player madrid want, you laugh.
However, from what i have observed of him, Pedresol is a well connected guy, that often reveals interesting tidbits. Quim Domenech is not bad either. Pipi Estrada , and Gatti truly is a nutter lol
thing is, like most medias in Spain, they serve an agenda. people dont realize this but you never get information for free. So when AS breaks exclusive that turns out to be true, it's never free. Just like Marca are the lap dogs of some madrid officials and they always, even if partially, reflect an important stance of the club. If mou is pissing off people in Madrid, some will be more willing to leak stuff they know to put him on the edge. Just like a year ago when Championing mou was the word, Marca was all "we love you mou".

Garay is apparently signing for Manchester United and we are set to receive some cash from the transaction.

Real Madrid interested in Aguero due to Benzema's dip in form and Atletico not budging in their price for Falcao.

He isn't better than Khedira and he can't play Xabi's role.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Tactics | Who to buy/sell etc
He's definitely better than Khedira imo. The thing for me is that he can play next to Xabi, next to Modric, next to Sahin, and next to Khedira and we wouldn't lose much quality

Yeah, he's like a more agile and much better technical Khedira, who also has an incredible shot on him. Plus I think he's superior defensively. Exact type of player we've been looking for to partner Alonso in the past 3/4 years.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Tactics | Who to buy/sell etc
He's better technically than Sami, but he doesn't have his presence. His defending is by no way superior's to Khedira's. But what put this comparasion to bed for me is that he doesn't have Khedira's native football intelligence. The german is one of the most intelligent players in the world. IMO he is the Makelele of this generation, they don't have the same style, but what ppl used to say about Maka, they say today about Khedira.
- Spoiler:
- We will not miss Makélelé. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn't a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres. Younger players will arrive who will cause Makélelé to be forgotten.[5] ”
His opinion differed from that of players like Zidane, who remarked the following after Makélelé was sold and Beckham was bought:[6]
“ Why put another layer of gold paint on the Bentley when you are losing the entire engine? ”
In his autobiography, published in 2006, McManaman described Makélelé as the most important and yet least appreciated midfielder at Real. Retired former Real Madrid player and captain Fernando Hierro also criticised Pérez for both Makélélé's departure and the manner of his departure, saying:
“ I think Claude has this kind of gift – he's been the best player in the team for years but people just don't notice him, don't notice what he does. But you ask anyone at Real Madrid during the years we were talking about and they will tell you he was the best player at Real. We all knew, the players all knew he was the most important. The loss of Makélelé was the beginning of the end for Los Galacticos… You can see that it was also the beginning of a new dawn for Chelsea. He was the base, the key and I think he is the same to Chelsea now.[7]

Pogba was 19 until 1 week ago. Of course his presence isn't the best in the world but he will only get better.
I don't know why it's even an argument, we've had Khedira for almost 3 years now but we've lacked that agility and technical presence next to Alonso. It goes to show that as much as you want to back Khedira, he hasn't been the answer to our midfield.

Considering that Khedira is 26 and Xabi is 32, we should find a pair for Sami IMO. Verratti/Gundogan

Sportsmediaset:
Cavani only wants to join Real Madrid if he leaves Napoli. He has a clause of 63m Euros.
Man City and PSG also interested. PSG would offer Verratti as part of the deal.
