Shameful that the guy hasn't been arrested. Even if he was, I feel like he would get off free in court.

The cops aren't refusing to arrest him, merely waiting until they actually have the evidence needed to hold and prosecute him. It's worth doing a wee bit of research in some situations.

it's funny because if their races were reversed the shooter would be "accidentally" killed right after the cops got there

i hate playing the race card but really... this is just laughable... after clearly being told to stay in his car and not follow the guy, he gets out with his gun in his hand and claims self defence that somehow has to be disproved? total bs

In most cases, even if you claim self-defense, they still take you in. It's incredible that they haven't done so in this case. I honestly don't know what else they need in terms of evidence.

This, in response to redoranje. He admitted to shooting him and the details of the situation seem to be clear. There's no reason to wait to apprehend the guy if he has a case for self-defense or not.

What a shame, Im guessing the county/town is defending him for whatever reason (could be non-racial or indeed be a white collectivist thing). This is not against procedure but it is against police tradition for 90% of cases, extremely fishy when this is a clear cut murder case. I dont know what kind of people they have down there, but that town as a whole (not just the black community) should pressure the police force to move swiftly.

Furthermore, self-defense isn't as clear cut as common knowledge makes it out to be... Most states consider situations where escaping or using nonviolent force is a viable option not self-defense, and from everything I've read this was one of those. I really have no explanation for the failure of the justice system up to this point, gathering more information is not typical police procedure in a case like this. Generally they would arrest and book him, considering he admitted to it, and exonerating evidence would be considered by a judge in a court.

Media totally got most people by the balls with the fud they reported and how they shape it. Calling a hispanic man white and showing baby photos of him while he was a huge football player. *sigh people will believe anything they read FUD
