We support Pepe

This past couple of weeks, Real Madrid player Pepe has been caught in a storm of bad press and unflattering media attention due to his controversial behavior on the pitch during Madrid’s last Copa del Rey matches. We discussed that at length in our last Q&A, but we also realize that we are all prone to making mistakes. And when that happens, we are lucky enough to not get caught on camera and have the whole wide world disect every single one of our moves, call us names, and make general conclusions out of isolated incidents. All this turmoil cannot feel good to Pepe. And on top of it, it is highly detrimental to our team’s cohesion and performances. Pepe is a member of our Madridista family, who serves the team to the best of his great abilities. And it’s not in our interest to stigmatize one of ours.


We support you Pepe!
What if we could balance out all the bashing that the press is cashing in on and our opponents are using to try and weaken us by all possible ways? What if we could fill the web with positive messages about/for Pepe? Let’s show him and the rest of the world that we care about him even when he makes mistakes, that we trust he’ll rise above all that unwanted hype, that we don’t fuel the negatives, that we remember him for his talents and nice behavior, not his occasional hiccups, etc.

So here’s the challenge! We have up to Madrid’s next game to gather all our messages and spread the word, so that by next Saturday, the web will have been flooded with love and support towards Pepe.

Here is how you can participate and help:

1- Show your support

by posting a comment to this article (preferably in English, Spanish or Portuguese)
by sending us your recorded audio/video messages (preferably in one of the three above mentioned languages)
2- Spread the word #WeSupportPepe

by passing the message around to as many Madridistas as possible and as frequently as possible (if you have Twitter, Facebook, Digg, or any other social media, go for it!)
by retweeting / sharing on Facebook as many comments and videos from fellow Madridistas as you see fit so that they too get massively viewed, RTed, liked and shared
by posting links (if it is allowed) to this post and upcoming videos on different football websites
by massively letting Real Madrid players who have Twitter and/or Facebook accounts know about this initiative
We can do this! Come on!!!! Let’s show the world what us Madridistas are made of!

Supporting Pepe would mean supporting his actions, I sincerely doubt RM fans will agree with supporting him, rather they would want him punished.

If Barcelona fans can support Busquets even though he is diving twat, certainly Real Madrid fans can support that dirty maniac. Do I support him, nope, don't really care much about him honestly...

One thing is diving, trying to harm other players on the pitch is completely different. I don't support either.

I don't support Pepe..

I accept Pepe for what he is, he is a passionate monster who does what ever it takes to stop any opponent that comes at him, he DEFENDS REAL MADRID, A player that defends madrid is a player i will support til the end of his time with this team, my team.

to say such things is to condone such behavior and true madridistas dont get down like that.

as far as i know its his style to play like that, afterall he fights for madrid not against madrid, which is good enough for me.

Diving is a form of cheating sir and should be look down upon in the same light as dirty players. With that said, I could actually agree with you on this one, Pepe really does not have my support.

Support Madridismo! Support the spirit and the ethos that Real Madrid demands and has in the past embodied. He has had far too many chances!

I don't support him, never liked him. I always found him hot headed.
He harmed Real Madrid's image.
