Player Info: Thomas Eisfeld Thomas10

Thomas Eisfeld
Date of birth: 18.01.1993 (in Finsterwalde)
Age: 19
Height: 1.77 m
Weight: 65 kg
Nationality: German
Position: Midfield - Attacking Midfield
Foot: right

Former clubs:
SV Quitt Ankum
VfL Osnabrück
Borussia Dortmund U19

In 2008, Thomas Eisfeld was chosen into the extended squad for the German U15 NT.

He played in the Dortmund U17 until he changed to the U19 in 2010 where he had a contract until 30.06.2012 when he decided to leave for Arsenal in the Winter transfer window.

Thomas Eisfeld is a very promising playmaker and attacking midfielder and he played successfully as 10 in his teams. I think Arsenal managed to snatch a very good youngster there and I hope they will manage to let him develop fully.

Here's his performance overview for this season:

GOAT rwo is GOAT.

Wenger was rarely mistaken when it comes to youngsters, so I'm just trusting him.

Woah woah woah!! Easy there tiger! The next Cesc? Where did you get that from?!! Razz

I'm indifferent to this signing. New youngster added to the youth and possibly a starter in the future.

Thinking short term (read: this season), I do not see anything coming from him. He just adds to our talent pool in the reserves and the academy to give us future options.

Being out of the league cup, with only FA Cup as a trophy we might have a reasonable chance of winning, I don't see him contributing to our current campaign or for the push to secure top four. We need our injured players back at the earliest and we need our players to reach some form and consistency. I am with Wenger on this one.

Indeed ive heard that some dortmand fans are gutted at losing him, think he is a real talent they do.

He is the n10 in this (yellow team of course)

he's scored 6 goals in 12 games this season in U19....

just keep him off of the treatment table please. good signing but not necessarily what we needed. mertesacker will be his big bro.

edit: i think i see what wenger is doing. collecting germans so podolski will feel welcome when he arrives. :coffee:

He and his agent are in London for talks and a medical. His medical is longer than usual because of his history with bad injuries, but he did train with the first team this morning where Wenger had a look at him. I don't think there'll be any complcations so he should be signed tomorrow.

This signing reminds of the Jenkinson signing in the summer. Jenkinson was the same age and had only appeared 8 times for Charlton and a few times for non-league Ebbsfleet, but immediately went into our first team sqaud and turned out to be all right, contrary to what his level of experience suggested.

lmao why people tend to compare every Arsenal midfielder with Cesc. First Wilshere and Ramsey now Eisfeld

Cesc was great with us, can we move on now?

he had one appearance for the first team, so at one point it seemed like Dortmund rated him highly enough for them to give him first team action. maybe his injuries set him back a lot and eventually players like gotze took his chance to shine away from him.

RWO's future babies >>>>>>>>>>>>> Gerd Müller, Beckenbauer, Matthäus, Maier and Kahn.

So basically Eisfeld >>>>>>> Götze, Gundogaan and Leitner just because of the Wenger factor.

Time will tell if Wenger has signed him for immediate impact.

But time is very short...

As mentioned somewhere, we need to push for top four and this signing is not going to make a huge difference... I dont know.

Wenger has proved us wrong many times but people are being impatient with this mediocry.

exactly.. Typical wenger signing if it happens.. A playmaker for 0.4 million.. Lol.. Now dont ask about his age or experience.. I am happy.. Atleast better than nothing...
And i am sure he will prove the hypocrites wrong again as he is doing for many years... Thumbs up
