I don't understand that player. He was bought for 35 million pounds, and whenever i see him I think he would struggle to find a place in a small team in the Argentine league.

He is so clumsy and his shot is average, he is not a good passer and doesn't have good ball control. he is not even a great header.

i just have no idea how football scouts (who must know tons more of football than i do could have reccomended him). It's baffling.

He could have shown end product, but I struggle to find any talent in him.

And I have nothing against him personally or against Liverpool. It's just very surprising how lacking he is in technique. And by technique I don't mean fancy moves, I mean the basic stuff.

Would Newcastle take him back for 7m?

I understand, but I think its not quality, its pressure/confidence.

For Newcastle, he wasnt a technical genuis, but he was better than this. Also, he had a genuine skill in the air and got goals.

Im just saying, as bad as he may look now, giving up on him wont help Liverpool. For me, it makes more sense to give the young guy some time and lets see in a couple years what progress he has made.

Lol! Speaks badly of our collective knowledge of the game.

Carroll should be converted to a back up CB for us. Like Nirgall said, the guy does not have any sense of basic football technique in him. Kenny's buys have been beyond bad, he still thinks he can win the EPL and CL with all British players. Kenny needs to move on, this isn't 1990 ffs.

Dalglish's signings, bar Enrique and Bellamy, have been bad. The thing is, the fans worship KD...he is untouchable, and if the board were to ever sack him, the fans will turn against them.

If that was Hodgson, he would have got it in the neck from the LFC fans. That performance v Bolton was really bad.....Carroll and especially Adam's perfromance was shocking tbh.

They will raise their game v City and United and then go back to playing how they did v Bolton. They spent 100 mill in the summer, they should be doing far, far better than they are atm.

I know he is young and has margin for growth, but I just don't think he has a high ceiling either. Usually great centre forwards are either technical genius, Very fast and agile, or strong physically and mentally.

My thoughts are that if you are not very technical and aren't very fast either you have to be very strong mentally. Look at higuain, he is clearly technically much better than Carrol and much faster, but has to fight for a place in a team that buys gifted players for his position yearly. He deals with it by being very strong emotionally.

Does Carrol has that? From what I've heard about him he doesn't.

Again not to put him down. Not his fault he is in that position. Just cannot understand Why he was bought in the first place.

Not his fault he was overrated by the press and Newcastle fans, he is a young striker who needs time to improve certain areas of his game

Carroll is young but he has no talent. What room to improve if you haven't got any talent in the first place. And not just talent, the guy doesnt even have any basic football skills. I wouldn't pissed at him all the time if he at least won headers (and that was the reason he was brought in for), he wins 1 out 10 headers.

Kenny is a little too set in his ways of putting out teams. That dreaded 4-4-2 formation in particular. I obviously don't want him fired, but I'd love to see him change some of the things he does wrong. Unfortunately a lot of supporters on Liverpool-only forums refuse to hear any sort of criticism of Kenny. They assume somehow we attack his legacy by questioning his current decisions.

That's my point. If KD doesn't get you fourth place, especially with the money he was given to improve the squad, would you still want him as manager?

I'm not one to jump on the 'fire him' bandwagon unless the performances have been very bad. (Re: Hodgson)

Kenny is a decent manager. He proved that through the second half of last season. I'm not sure what the issues are at the moment, but I'm willing to give him more time. However, as fans, I believe we need to start seeing some changes in the consistent mistakes he makes.

One of our issues this season is consistency in line-ups.

Is there anyone out there who could properly say who our starting 11 is? I couldn't.
