How Carroll did not score is beyond me. He was fantastic today.

He was all over the pitch with sheer intelligence, made superb passes, was selfless and even it the post.

Was unlucky not to score but the positive is that his confidence is regaining.

Hmmm, since when does playing well stop the relentless attacks from the english media?? torres has been playing well all season and still gets attacked.

Disagree Sepi. The media (and Postman Pat) are obsessed with Carroll's private life but aside from that he doesn't get anywhere near the criticism Torres does.

I don't know why you hate him Gil. It appears you are very insecure about the Torres deal in that you keep attempting to justify it through Carrol's failure.

But, Carrol isn't failing.

He is an exceptional player. Very young, and very, very good.

Except that Carroll's gf was a crazy woman who actually attacked him and he responded in self-defense.

If I'm perfectly honest, I'm a wee bit disappointed in Carroll.

I'm starting to find it a fact that he's not offering us as much as we would need. I hope he manages to turn this around.

And I'm not really blaming him. Blowing £35m on him was simply too much, I think we should have waited until summer before replacing Torres.

I agree with you it would have been the smart thing to do, Suarez would have been more than enough......

Carroll was a desperate signing and I said it a day after they signed him.

They already brought in Suarez that time and they should have never rushed to spend all that money on one certain player who hadnt finish a half season in epl.

We tried to bring in Gomez and Llorente. Both were rejected. Settled with Carroll. And if I'm totally honest, I couldn't care less. There's no denying he's a great player, and once he gets used to system he'll start banging them in. You gotta remember, Drogba only scored like 10 goals in his PL debut season.

Carroll is not Drogba.

The system isnt the issue imo, Carroll would be great in the system the problem is all too often Liverpool try to adapt to Carroll instead of Carroll adapting to Liverpool.....

When i watch you play without Carroll, you play exactly how you should play when Carroll is in the team but for some reason when Carroll plays you play the long ball too often which isnt Carroll's game to bully defenders like it would be for Drogba for example......

Continue your current style and when you get it wide cross it in with quality and you will see a drastic improvement in Carroll's performances....
