Manchester United icon Paul Scholes willing to come out of retirement to save united season

made it clear that he misses playing
football and that he is willing to help...

I don't see this happening. Scholes was insistent that it was time for him to retire back in the summer, and he's not the sort of person who's mind will be changed easily.

To add to that, I doubt whether he'd be able to fit back into the team again. He hasn't been training like a pro footballer for about 8 months now. I know he works with the reserves, but that training is obviously not to the same intensity.

By the time he comes back and gets ready to play the season is over.

What I said was a joke, however I do find it quite strange that out of all the players in the world, two leading EPL teams can't find better reinforcements than Henry and Scholes. Yes, I know that you will probably say that they are legendary players and they will carve up just like in the good old days, but if there's something I have learnt from Milan 08-10, it is that ageing legends are almost always incapable of backing up for multiple games in a week and delivering good performances. In reality, they can often become a liability on the field and if they stay long enough, hinder youth development at the club by limiting playing opportunities. I hope that doesn't happen to Arsenal or Man U, but I think it's fair to say that it reeks of desperation.
