Guys Mou probably knows the situation a lot better than you guys, to assume that he's getting minutes because he's Portuguese is a little out there imo.

It's not that he's Portuguese Jose isn't that superficial. It's just that he scouted him and brought him in this season to play for the youth team. The things is, he's barely played and when he has he's never stood out as much as say Caravajal in defence.

Jese on the other hand has been carrying the attack, scoring and setting up guys like Joselu (Along with Morata although his form took a dip after injury). Jose probably knows this Mendes guy more and hence trusts him more but I personally don't think it's fair that someone who doesn't preform with the youth team plays but the youth team's best player doesn't.

makes sense really but in hindsight really wish jese would have gotten some minutes.

Finally an RM fan see's past the Jose love and makes note that his annoying portuguese bias is holding the true talent of the Castilla.

This has been the case since his Inter and Chelsea days and has caused him to make many mistakes through turning a blind eye to the better options.

What bothers me more is that this is effecting the development of the Spanish talent in which I bank on Madrid developing considering I'm a national supporting my country's team.

Well tbf to Jose he has given débuts to a lot of Castilla players and there is a feeling that the youth team isn't being ignored like it was before.

However this move may have been ill advised but the reasoning behind it was believable. Mendes doesn't really deserve to be called up in the first place if his Castilla performances are what got him a call up.

Jose can make things right in the Copa with Morata, Jese and Alex in the copa :dance:
