Benz in CL and 2011

23 goals and 8 assists... 37 appearances for his career so far. For CL, that's outrageous.

In 2011.... he has 30 goals so far if you don't count preseason and supercopa. That also does not include France NT. All 30 are for Madrid. Wow.

Benguain

Benz and Higuain really know how to play off of each other. With Ozil in there, it's just amazing. No wasteful dribbling... one touch passing. Only dribble when there's a clear reason to. All of them making runs around each other so that it open space for themselves or their teammate. Callejon fit in well too.

That's what CR7 needs to still do... don't hold on to the ball so long. You see an opening, make the pass. These guys are all looking for their teammates first unless they are in an absolute kill area. CR7 is looking for himself no matter what his position is.

Those are some insane stats, at his age, God knows what records he could break if he went at this rate...

The body cover of Benzema is just outstanding. The ball lay on his chest then he links up with a pass or a run to play a 1-2 !!
He has something of R9 !!

only problem is , its impossible to play benguain & di maria at the same time.

Really impressed with Benzema last night. His association with Higuain was simply perfect.

I know wish to see the same team again vs Ajax in in our Copa Del rey matches.

I think you will see a line-up comparable to yesterdays against Ajax. Plus there is the prospect of using some Castilla players especially Morata and Nacho.

But I'm not worried. I really like our depth and Ajax although better than Dinamo and Lyon is still not very strong. Plus they likely will get in even with loss.

If they lose and Lyon wins, they are tied in points and have tied both games between them, Ajax is ahead on goal diff (+3 to -4), goals scored (6 to 2) and goals against (3 vs 6). Not sure how UEFA determines 2nd, but it looks to me as if Ajax wins regardless of method.

They are tied, but as I said above, not knowing how they settle tie breakers, Ajax is ahead in all categories. Using the scores you suggest, they would be even on all these re goals. I just don't know the criteria, but I think you are a little off with those scores. Lyon is away so 4 goals for is an exaggeration.
