Euro 2012 Seeding Virtually Obvious

Based on UEFA Coeff:

Seed1: Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Netherlands
Seed2: Germany, Italy, England, Croatia
Seed3: Russia, Greece, Sweden, Denmark
Seed4: France, Czech/Montenegro, Ireland, Portugal/Bosnia

Group of Death:
Spain, Germany, Denmark, France

Group of Life:
Poland, Croatia, Greece, Ireland

I hope we get the group of life with England instead of Croatia

Good that UEFA changed back format of Euro. This is like in 2000 and 2004 format - teams from both group can not meet again in KO stage until final. In Euro 2008 there was the worst possible seeding and knockout format ever in international football. Greece (as Euro 2004 Champs), Switzerland and Austria were Top seeds along with Netherlands. 3 undeserved seeds. In Euro 2012 Poland will be in Group A, Ukraine in Group D. In Euro 2008 Switzerland was in Group A and Austria in Group B. Knockout stage format was terrible, teams from Group A-B were on one side of the draw (Switz, Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Germany, Croatia) and one of this team had to make a final, on the other side of the draw were (Netherlands, Italy, France, Romania, Spain, Russia, Sweden, Greece). It was disgrace. Even Germans didn't rate their team at Euro 2008 yet due to stupid knockout format Germany made a final (the only decent team they play til final was Croatia in Group Stage and they lose that game). http://mydraw.info/ this application made a draw, the worst group that came at my draw was Ukraine, Croatia, Sweden and Czech Republic, no offence but this group would be a borefest.

tbf, Greece, Italy, France and Spain would be more boring than that group.

So we at least get one group with 3 top teams in it?

Germany are going to get Poland and we'll get either Spain or the Netherlands, I can just see this coming.

tbf, how many other top teams have beaten Spain in competative matches in the last 4 years? now that you have said it, apart from Argentina, Germany havent won against another top team in the last the last 6 major tournaments as well, assuming you do not think England is a top team?

I'm looking forward to it! It's a pity that RVP and Robben won't play, though. And Schweinsteiger's injury also is a pity for that match-up! I would have loved to see both teams in full strength.
