I dunno about the Lampard Comparison......but he's a wonderful passer...reminds me kind of an early Iniesta but that's a reach comparison...I'm not expecting him to be Iniesta.....but so many things he did yesterday other than the epic fail just looked classy.

His movements....except for the epic fail lloked smooth and his passing style and body mannerisms reminded me of iniesta.......

I just watched the 1 game lol....I'm not calling him the new anything....he just seemed a bit like iniesta.

Do you think recalling Shelvey from the loan deal will benefit him!

During his two-month loan-spell, he played in 10 games. Since his return to Liverpool he has played just two. Although his recall was due to the injury of Lucas, he is an AM/CM and hasn't played as DM.

His talent coupled with the progress he has made suggests that a full season on loan (which would have given him regular games) would have made him ready for next season.

I saw this story, and it prompted me to look for some videos of him, I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone made a compilation of his truly wonderful performance against Roma in preseason.

Jonjo has been positive in his games this season so far. If he just could develop some gerrard-esque explosivity or lampard-like runs into the box to his game I believe he could become that goal threat.

He looks more like Lampard than a Gerrard to me.

He's the closest thing we have to a Gerrard. Coady is too defensive minded and maybe not as good as we hope. Henderson has a very different type of game than Stevie. Shelvey basically has all the traits a young Gerrard had.

Kinda sad to see Shelvey leave, he's been a very likeable player and has potential. But his career was never going to explode at LFC, I suppose, and only time will tell which club got the better deal here.
