17 players from Klopp’s senior squad are off on international duty, while there are also call-ups for 11 players from the Academy set-up and loan army. However, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Salah, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson are all excluded from their national team set-ups for a variety of reasons. Hopefully they make best use of this two-week break. They are needed badly.

Senior players called up: Kelleher, Van Dijk, Gomez, Lovren, Van den Berg, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Hoever, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Elliott, Firmino, Origi, Brewster, Jones and Mane.

OK so that's almost the entire match-day squad (not just starting XI) called up for NT duties. Particularly worried about Salah who is reportedly nursing a knee/ankle injury.

Also, not sure how the change in temperature (30C in Africa, ME and near-zero in England) will affect Alisson, Fabinho, Firmino, Mane, Salah and Keita.

Gomez is fine. Salah hasn't withdrawn, he's chilling in training with a his ankle wrapped up in protection.

I hope they all come fit and sound our run after thr international break is so dreadful... I don't think we will survive it ! I think the gap will close down to 3 or 4 points....
