Refereeing scandal in La Liga revealed
This one even bigger than Calciopoli.
Real Madrid
CR7 dive outside the box, ref gave penalty that gave Real Madrid lead over Getafe:
Kaka dive, ref gave penalty that killed the game against Rayo:
CR7 dive on the same game, ref gave penalty:
Barcelona
Messi hacked down in the box against Valencia, ref gave goal kick, would have killed the game:
Messi hacked down in the same game, ref gave goal kick, would have given victory for Barca:
Messi clipped in achillestendon against Sporting Gijon, ref gave nothing, would have killed the game:
So it's pretty obvious now that ref are trying to help Madrid and penalize Barcelona as much they can in La Liga. I'll be posting more of these if they continue the favouritism.

Re: Refereeing scandal in La Liga revealed
All your videos tell me is that Messi is a diving little midget.
And ffs Kaka diving? Fo realziez? One of the classiest/most upstanding footballers to ever play the game?
Kaka has something Messi will never have. A legitimate Champions League.

Re: Refereeing scandal in La Liga revealed
I don't believe in scandals or conspiracies unless they are proven, but it's obvious that refs in Spain are afraid to give penalties to Barça and keen to give them to Madrid.
Madrid had like 15 penalties last season, most from Di Maria dives, Barça had like 3-4. And this season the same is happening. We should have gotten at least 2-3 penalties in these games and 0. Madrid should have had 1-2 penalties, and they already had what, 5?

Kaka did not really dive Jiopsi. You can see he was clipped.

Re: Refereeing scandal in La Liga revealed
It's not the point really. The point is refs are giving Madrid penalties and for Barca they don't. It was the same in last year.kiranr wrote:Kaka did not really dive Jiopsi. You can see he was clipped.

"They see me trolling, they hatin', pa-trolling..."
Oh Jiopsi, you're being as sensationalist now as the Spanish sports-media. I will give you my most objective evaluation of the gifs:
Real Madrid calls:
1) contact definitely outside the box, injustice claim on penalty therefore approved, was a free kick
2) Clear penalty, Kaka tripped.
3) Clear penalty, full grab on Ronaldo's foot, compromising his position.
Barca calls:
1) Clear penalty, hard luck there.
2) Penalty inconclusive, ref obviously watching incident from behind, looks like Rami gets something of the ball, but he might not be able to see that with Miguel blocking the play. Miguel probably committing a foul there, so you have a shout on that one too, but a difficult call.
3) Ridiculous, you ruin your argument putting that one in. The contact is not enough to go down, he takes 3 more steps before "jumping" off his feet.
You should be more careful in your choice of words in your OP, by consistently using the word "dive" you're trying to make up the reader's minds for them. Let them evaluate the material.

If someone kicks you in the achillestendon so hard that themselves fall down, is not penalty? Objective?Giovanni10 wrote:

Oh... I thought using the word "revealed" meant that there was actually some evidence... oh well, carry on.

I was inclined to think he took a dive, until I read that comment. If you watch that clip..you'll see the force at which the player kicks messi's leg is ridiculous. That was a straight up foul..more so than Ronaldo being brought down by a few fingertips..
Don't necessarily agree with a conspiracy, but it's definitely a pattern.
This is still not going to stop people from bleating "Refcelona !" when we get one favourable call...but this was an entertaining thread. Pity it won't last long

Really? Wow, we must have different definitions for pawning then... To me it appears as though the defender trips himself up in the coming together with Messi. I don't understand how you can use so much "force" in a tackle that you fall over as a result but nothing happens to the opponent? that doesn't make any sense at all, clearly if there was enough contact then he should have gone down as a result, but, and I'll say it again to really drive the point home: he still takes a couple more solid steps before jumping to the ground. those are hardly ever given.
It's funny that my evaluation would be attacked, A Real Madrid fan that actually is objective enough to say that 2 out of 3 of your claims are legitimate and you still try to win a non-existent argument, class stuff.
Re: Refereeing scandal in La Liga revealed
here's an idea....score a goal from open play so you don't need penalties
barcelona don't win
blame the world!!!
