I wouldn't put him in the starting lineup, leave him as a backup to Ozil, we need to have that second option available in case of injury/rotation/whatever. Kaka has had a couple of good performances but he is still terribly inconsistent. See the Levante game and I still waiting to see him do it against defenders worth a grain of salt.

Just my thoughts.

My point, he played well against Levante as well. The problem is, people want him to fill the gap Ozil leaves when he is on the bench. He isn't a creative AM like him, he is a SS with goal scoring ability. To tell the truth, we don't have any backups to Ozil or Alonso as long as Sahin is out. I'm worried about them in the long run when we get the 3 games in 7 days schedules...
So playing with or without Kaka won't matter a lot if Ozil isn't on the field but playing him would ensure us better passing in midfield than with Di Maria Very Happy

What we had yesterday was a balanced attack from left to right once di Maria was out. The defense couldn't shade us center and left. Also, because there was a am providing service, the CFs could make proper runs.... Shape is the most important thing offensively and defensively. Once you lose shape, any pro team in the elite leagues with discipline can play you. Also, you can play better than your individual skills because it becomes a team. That's why man u is so darn good... They keep their shape better than anyone in the world. Only time they lost it was against Barca and that was because their system couldn't overcome their talent deficit in the midfield and Barca has great shape too. Madrid... We are inconsistent with it because we have undisciplined players and others are forced to compensate.

Giving Kaka the starting CAM spot is a no go.
Ozil doesn't perform as good on the wing or cm.

Mou said in an interview both Ozil and kaka have to adapt to play in different positions.
Kaka needs to get stronger physically, and build up his stamina and make that wing his otherwise he can play second fiddle to Ozil for CAM.

Surival of the fittest simple as that.

^Actually Özil can used as winger, when wanted to but his less dangerous in wing than center. But yeah, your right about kakas part deploying him as a winger, he dosent have the stamina and speed to make it happen imo. But who knows, he might surprise us.

Kaka won't be deployed as CAM but more like SS he is, also don't expect Ozil to sit in CM all the time. He'll move up or down according to teams movement. We really need someone who organized the attack further than Alonso but not in final third= Ozil/Sahin Very Happy

Creativity > Work-rate

You could even start Granero in the diamond formation and he'll look great since the formation is stable all around. Point being if the midfield is stabilized with proper mf's then we won't have to worry Very Happy

Oh and about the useless kaka Razz

He can start in his position as an SS with Ozil operating behind him. Add to that Benz and our ball control in the final 1/3 is immaculate

Hey I love Kaka may be not as much as Ozil but let's face it the time for experimentation is over-that's what pre-season is for.
We've got important games coming up and we're already playing catch up.
Kaka has been great but the team not just him have to step it up cause Ajax ain't a pushover.

I'm not completely against Ozil on the wing. He's got the pace, just ask Glen Johnson :lol!: (might make this my catch phrase haha).
But not right now, Kaka on the wing against Ajax then may be when we're cruising and in the copa ozil and kaka can swap around.

I love both of them but we honestly can't afford to experimentise right now.

Playing Alonso in a deeper role than Sahin meaning that Sahin can go forward while Alonso sits deeper, they both could be the players that will link up defense and attack.

Kaka looked fantastic, it's looking obvious that he should start now ahead of Di Maria. If not kaka, then Higuain. Mourinho is very stubborn and just keeps on playing him, nice touch of confidence, but he is not playing with his head at the moment.

Some kind of asymmetric box midfield would do. I think Ozil would enjoy playing a bit deeper if someone like kaka is ahead of him, and he understands he doesnt have to make those long runs forward. Meanwhile, Kaka would assist and support the attack. He is fit and looks good, so we might as well play him.

Still has enough speed to generate those little bursts of acceleration in the last 30m and get the opposition defense in a panic. Committing to a more possession oriented game would be the next logical step, will it ever happen under mou?
