Yet we still got criticized the most lol.
How overrated are City btw. Aguero is half the player out wide and Nasri was being his usual crap self.
Silva is top class though.
i cant believe ur calling other players overrated your defenders are scoring more than strikers.

Who rates Torres these days lol.
Pride of England indeed.
11 - Only Chelsea (12) had more shots on target than Lille (11) on matchday one of the Champions League. Disillusion.
Pride of England indeed.

Bayern are probably only 2nd to Barcelona and Real Madrid, It is shocking how underrated they are.

If you take it too seriously then oh well......
i come on this forum to talk football not to have fun....
Maybe but some people have fun while they are here and dont take themselves seriously so id advise not to talk them seriously as they are not serious half of the time...
Myself included.
, I'm here to have fun and discuss football, is more like I'm your pan not your pastor.
Re: Man City will fail to qualify!
It's taken City two days on these forums to go from being one of the top teams in Europe to unlikely to make the knock-out rounds. :cyclops:

Re: Man City will fail to qualify!
id be suprised if they didnt qualify but this is a tough group and it really could go 3 ways its between napoli bayern and city with bayern and city being the favorites although i hope napoli get through.

City are still too strong for that to happen and wll still qualify ahead of Napoli comfortably imo.
Would love to see Napoli qualify ahead of them though.

Yep.Ray wilkins was even saying they have a great chance of winning the CL whole since they can beat Barca in a one off final. He didnt even know Barca were in the same side of draw as Spurs
Some of the pre match predictions for the Spurs-Madrid match from English media were hilarious.I cant remember any media pundit saying Madrid will win.Apparently WHL has some magic and Spurs can beat anyone there.

It's going to take a gargantuan effort from Napoli to challenge for second place still, without even counting out Villarreal yet. Both 'minnow' sides effectively have the opportunity to ride shotgun for each other - though they can equally ruin each other's chances - if one is able to seize the advantage in their individual battle whilst holding up City.
It's a pity that City are the ones to last play Bayern Munich; when you really need points it's a more pleasant proposition to play a team that have already qualified and final day complacency could be a cruel blow to either of Napoli or Villarreal's hopes of an upset triumph in reaching the knockout stages.

Re: Man City will fail to qualify!
Out of the four english teams only one really has a shot to reach the final and that's manu. Even if Man City qualify I believe they will be eaten alive in the knockouts. Better go to Europa Cup early imo.

Re: Man City will fail to qualify!
I predict Villarreal will be out of the race for the first 2 spots by then They lack squad depth so they're more likely to rest a lot of their starters if they fail to qualify in the first 5 games (looks more likely). So in the end, Man City will play a lackluster Bayern side (prognose) and Napoli a second string Villarrealdostoevsky wrote:BeautifulGame wrote:City are still too strong for that to happen and wll still qualify ahead of Napoli comfortably imo.

Lackluster Bayern>>> 2nd string Villarreal
I still stand by it, Man Sh!tty will fail to qualify
1. Bayern
2. Napoli
3. Man City
4. Villarreal
All Napoli needs is to beat Bayern or Man City at home then game over

Re: Man City will fail to qualify!
First time they play in the CL? They'll pull it out to the knockout stages minimum and they'll qualify first from their group. The stronger their opponent is, the better they'll perform. They will improve drastically within the next few games.

Re: Man City will fail to qualify!
People overrate and underrate City at the same time. Yes, they are no CL contenders with Mancini's man management and no experience, but I still think they will comfortably qualify from the group and reach 1/4, unless Napoli or Villareal pull out a surprise

Even if Bayern go through, we all know that they won't win, I'd like to see someone new, Napoli would be perfect
