Barca saw Thiago's performance in the first half and knew they had to get the deal done asap

I think thats a bit unfair, one of the reasons Xavi and Iniesta are so good is because of Busquets and Pique behind them feeding them passes to then in turn to feed the strikers...
This did'nt happen tonight i think its unfair to judge Thiago tonight with Keita and Mascherano feeding him lol.

This deal was done Friday but Pep requested that the deal be held off till after the match today to not distract his players (noticed the deal was announced the second the match ended). Also Thiago was solid, he is 19 and had to deal with the pressure of playing in Madrid while getting hounded down (Madrid was relentless today)

The commentator read it out in the beginning of the second half actually, they announced it in half time. I get the motivation, but bizarre.

Re: Fabregas to Barca official
I have mixed feelings about this:
1. I am thanking god that I don't have to hear about this tiresome saga anymore as it enough to frustrate one.
2. I'm sad for Arsenal that they have to see Fab go as I enjoyed watching the gunners with Fab pulling the strings for them against physical sides.
3. No more Fabregas for Milan as I would have been sure we would acquire him if Barca pulled out.

I have come to dislike Barca more and more over the last couple of years, but I still wish Cesc all the best. He deserved more during his time at Arsenal, and I wish he could be leaving under better circumstances

Cesc paid money to get out of Arsenal.
If I were a Gunner I would not be wishing him well, but that's just me.

14.5M will be paid now.. 14.5M in October! & The rest 5M will be paid 1M/year (2012->2016)!

If Cesc plays 50% of the matches & Barca won @least 1 Cl & 2 League titles in thr next 5years.. Barca have to pay 6M..
==> Deal could reach a maximum of 40M Euro ==> 35M pound!!

Zealous wrote:Argentina's flag is a poor man's El Salvador's flag anyway.
Actually Salvador's flag is based off the Argentine one.
The Argentine commander Louis-Michel Aury
used the Argentine flag as a model for the blue-white-blue flag of the
first independent state in Central America, which was created 1818 in Isla de Providencia, an island off the east coast of Nicaragua. This state existed until approximately 1821, before Colombia took over control of these islands. Somewhat later (1823) this flag was again the model for the flag of the United Provinces of Central America, a confederation of the current Central American states of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica,
which existed from 1823 to 1838. After the dissolution of the Union,
the five countries became independent, but even today all of these
states except Costa Rica use flags of blue-white-blue stripes (the Costa Rican flag has a red stripe superimposed on the white one - the red stripe was added to incorporate all the colors of the French flag).

Re: Fabregas to Barca official
he is a small minded player, Arsenal can do without him.
Never had the mentality of greats, maybe the talent, but not the mentality.
The kirnar quote is not sounding funny at all now Lex, does it?

Anyway, I think Gourcuff would be a great signing for Arsenal. Of course, his ability isn't close to Cesc's ability, but I'm sure Wenger would get the best out of him and he would be more than adequate IMO.
