Fernando Redondo beats a ref and sends him to the hospital
The ex Argentine national team footballer Fernando Redondo made news this Thursday for the publication of a polemic incident that took place a few months ago during an amateur football tournament, where he beat a referee that ended up being attended at the hospital, as the Argentine tabloid 'Ole' has been able to reveal.
The match that Redondo's team went up against, where his brother Leonardo and a nephew of Maradona also play, was full of excitement. Over a houndred fans attended to see the former Real Madrid star. As the match was closing and the teams were tied 3-3 the unthinkable happened. Redondo was sanctioned with a yellow by the referee Abel Falcon after committing a foul and the former footballer completely lost it.
Redondo hit the referee, that fell on the pitch and was kicked repeatedly at the ribs by the player as he insulted him. The referee ended up bleeding at the mouth from the force of the first impact, and stayed almost knocked out, for which he was sent to a hospital at which he stayed until 2 in the morning.
After what happened, the incident was followed by a lawsuit against Fernando Redondo of ex Real Madrid and AC Milan fame, between others, that was not able to apologize after the unfortunate incident. "He didn't even apologize to me, and I was various weeks without being able to officiate games", denounced the referee.
Redondo has been banned from the tourney and his team has been kicked off.

LOL a ref deserving a beating.
Is there any possible outcome where you will admit a Real Madrid player be it former or now was wrong ?

There really isn't much that would justify beating someone like that but I'm sure there is a bit more to the story than just getting a yellow.

Whats with your hate for Madrid, I swear you sound exactly like a deluded cule
OT: I'm ashamed of Redondo, but there must be something else in this story. Redondo was always a classy guy at Madrid and this was out of character, I'm pretty dissappointed

yeah madrid is classless because they teach players to beat up refrees and also long after the player has retired anything he does will be attributed to his former team.. yeah right

This is about Redondo, not Madrid.
And what Redondo did was shameful and disgraceful if it was only over a booking.

Wow he got yellows a lot in his career, there must be something more. Shameful by Redondo, one of the last people I thought would do something like this.
