It really was a great match though I dare say, Fekir and Iglesias should have won it for them.

To anyone that didn't watch this match, don't be fooled by the stats, Barca put in a proper flaccid performance which further solidifies that Carlo should have been flogged for his tactical masterclass in the Clasico.

To close the gap Madrid would have to be losing points though, you do understand that? Since Xavi took over RM maybe had 1 or 2 loss and 2 draws in LaLiga or something like that.

So to close the distance we'd have to win EVERY SINGLE GAME since november (which rarely happens even with historic squads), our wins aren't worth 5 points my dude.

The fact that the gap did not widen means Xavi kept up pace with the champions. If we kept Koeman's point winning pace, we'd be out of top4

All the excuses that have been afforded to Xavi were never afforded to Koeman. Just 1 or 2 injuries and Xavi has already capitulated. He had to play nearly whole starting line ups from Barca B. Xavi bought a bunch of players and still hasn't even bettered Koeman. Koeman had no support from the start while the club celebrates with Xavi wins like he's won the league

Koeman was sacked at 1.42p per game this season. If he kept up similar pace we'd be at 10th in the league now

Koeman also had 2 windows to buy players, it's just that idiot coaches buy unfit/fraud players.

There is a lot to be optimistic at Barcelona. Not only Xavi is a better manager that the coaches Barça have had in the past few years, the likes of Koeman, Setién and Valverde whom all have (surprise surprise) been jobless since getting sacked, the whole structure of the club is far better now than it had been in the past decade. Don't forget in Xavi's first few matches he was playing teenagers like Ezzalzouli, Akhomach, González and Gabi. For most part, he has made recue signings to save the season. He will need a couple of proper transfer windows to exert his style on the team.

Xavi is not the second coming of Guardiola, but he is far better suited to Barça than any coach in the world (bar Pep of course).
