8th win in a rown. 5th clean sheet in a row
If Valladolid can get a draw against Barca, we can clinch the league at Granada

How did we perform in this match? I was celebrating my dad's 55th birthday and missed the entire thing.

It was an alright performance. Much better than against Getafe/Bilbao. Created many chances and controlled the game. It's Alaves though, so it's to be expected

Can Barca just do us all a favour and draw today so that we can both focus on our next CL games

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Hala is minimizing the efforts. Defense was good, not great without Ramos and Carvajal. Weakest spot was RB (Lucas) not surprising and there were a few issues with CBs. But the chances for Alaves were little.
It was on offense, that they played very well, best IMO since the return. Asensio, Rodrygo and Benzema and then later Hazard, Isco and Vinicius all played well and all had good opportunities. Midfield was also very good and solid.
I've said before that I am impressed with this version of a preseason team and in particular with how Zidane is handling it.
What seems to be lost, in my opinion is most people don't seem to realize that teams are still not in late season shape plus playing in front of empty stadiums greatly affect the play.
It seems all but certain we will end up with la liga and I wouldn't discount the possibility of a CL.
and @Hala, stop making out the home field advantage. With the empty stadiums, all the home crowd influences are completely gone.

I see Marcos Llorente is starting again as a striker (along side Morata) for Atleti! Can anyone tell me how this defensive midfielder has suddenly become a striker?

Simeone likes strikers who possess the physicality and cynicality of someone like Mark Van Bommel/Diego Costa. Maybe he wants to mould Llorente into one of those

He started the year as a defensive midfielder replacement for Rodi, then he was used as an AM and now (I think this is the 4th time) as a SS.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Barca are terrible. Imagine thinking that team deserves the title. All these poverty players shitting their pants whenever they are right in front of goal. How can you kick the pitch instead of the ball, idiot!
Anyways, we could win the league at home to Villarreal if we beat Granada tomorrow

Valencia are absolutely in the shits. Imagine spending all that money after finishing 4th and getting CL spot, then sacking your fan and player favourite coach, putting a complete dweeb at the helm and expecting to get results.
Peter Lim out.

I didn't think it was possible for ZZ to squeeze in more mid fielders into the line up but here we are playing with 5 CMs/CDM and one guy who doesn't play like a n9

Clinical finish. I can't believe the defender didn't reach the ball before Mendy did, though. I almost felt a bit embarrassed on his account.
