Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Are there even any good players linked with these clubs? They all need to add some quality, but are there any quality players around who might be available?

It's April, likelihood even if there are reports they probably can't be trusted.

the problem they wil have is Bayern and Madrid are gonna be rebuilding this summer as well so they will get first dibs. Well not so much Bayern because they only sign players on a free.Art Morte wrote:Are there even any good players linked with these clubs? Rabiot, Boateng, James, and Renato Sanches to Utd this summer IMO.
You're going to take half our team

How is that possible when you had half a team to begin with?

Declan Rice should have won YPOTY, the age limit has always been too high.

Wonderful article about the evolution of football in the PL and a great retort to the ex-United-led orthodoxy of Sky Sports punditry. Carragher's a similar offender IMO though.

danyjr wrote:GK: Sign Cillessen from Barcelona. He said he will leave this summer and he is a super goalkeeper. Way too good to sit on the bench for Barça.
DF: I'd keep Lindelöf and Bailly, I don't think neither is world class but they'll do for now. I would keep Young as a back up because he has been in United for a long time and always gives 100% despite not being much of a quality player. Shaw has improved a lot under Solskjær hence I'd keep him.
MF: Keep Mata and Herrera although both seem to be on their way out. They are quality player. Matić needs to go, he has been piss poor this season. Fred can stay for one more season, I think he started to improve under Ole but still not good enough. But deserves a chance. McTominay has been Mourinho's greatest gift to United and I can see him starting more and more games. Despite his age he looks to be very solid. Regarding Pogba, I don't know. Would I keep him? I think the attitude is a problem and if he is causing unrest in the squad he should go, but he is United's best player hands down. Absolutely world class on his date.
FW: Rashford is quality but not yet the final product. So keep that guy. Martial I'm not sure, I'd be reluctant to keep him. He is talented but his mentality is poor and his performances have been very lukewarm. Lukaku I'd keep as a back up striker, he is absolutely not good enough to start for United. Watching him on the wings today made me think how inelegant one player can look. Sánchez also out, he is a good player but he's at Manchester to get his final European retirement money before he's gone to China. Lingard is shit too, but you can keep him as a back up.
Agree everything barring Mata and DDG.
Have zero confidence Woodward will make good transfers. So, not bothering with that part anymore. As for the team currently we have,
Let go off Mata, Sell Sanchez, Matic, Pereira (contract will be up and for the inferior academy squad player role we have Lingard already), Rojo, Jones (not happening tho fml), Darmian (Like him personally, and would have been a decent cover for CB, much much better than our braindead trio of Rojo, Jones and Bailly, but as a full back, which will be the only position he will be played, he isn’t good enough), Pogba (will bite Madrid’s hands off if they offer anywhere near the moneys that are being reported). Sell DDG if he don’t want to be at United anymore, would definitely keep otherwise as he is wc (as opposed to what some of our fans are saying). If Dave stays, sell Romero and make Dean Henderson the backup.
So, next season
DDG, Henderson
Lindelof, Smalling, Tuanzebe (who will become our best CB if given an opportunity)
Shaw, Young
Dalot, Fosu Mensah (still have faith, and the fact that he is pretty versatile, should defo keep)
Herrera, McTominay, Fred, Angel Gomes (namesake youth mentioning)
Rashford, Martial (in the hope that Ole can turn it around, if he continues with piss behavior next season, get rid), Lukaku (would keep him if he is willing to be a backup), Lingard (backup’s backup), Greenwood (Refer Gomes, although this kid's pretty highly rated)
Yea that's more or less it, although no way in hell its happening.

Romelu Lukaku admitted he is unsure whether he will be at Manchester United next season.
Lukaku has struggled to maintain a starting berth in the United side under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Marcus Rashford often preferred as the focal point of the United attack.
manure should do a swap deal with everton for richarlison imo.

Lukaku isn't good enough at top level, we absolutely need to shift him I just have no idea on alternatives.

Diogo Jota has had an impressive season with Wolves and he's only 22... but I haven't watched Wolves games. I wonder if bigger clubs are interested in him?

I was more impressed with Jimenez than Jota when we played Wolves tbh.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Some injury problems for Poch throughout the year, missing Kane, Son, Dele at times, a weird De Gea masterclass in a year where he's been shit etc but overall that record is putrid.
No excuses for that. It does show how Spurs are in the position they're in by winning against the rest of the league though, which is great. Still, can't go to the next level unless you're winning half of those games

last season spurs finished 2 points clear of liverpool. this season liverpool are 21 points in front of spurs. thats a 23 point swing with 2 games to play in one season. regression from spudsCBarca wrote:Some injury problems for Poch throughout the year, missing Kane, Son, Dele at times, a weird De Gea masterclass in a year where he's been shit etc but overall that record is putrid.

Meh.
Rodgers is a very good coach, so long until the players get fed up with his moronic personality.
IMO this will never really work out for him at a top club because of his lack of leadership skills.
