Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
We're definitely in a good position to get that 3rd/4th spot. Towards the end of the season, mid table teams like Wolves and Leicester tend to drop their momentum due to have nothing to fight for (well maybe Leicester players have to prove themselves to their new manager).
With the way Pochettino has seemingly given up in the league and not giving a shit I can see them dropping out tbh and Arsenal/United qualifiying.

Spurs are definitely finishing in top 4. It will be tight among other three till the end but all I am hoping for is ManBendToCityUtd somehow remain in the top 4 race and try to win that game against City or earn at least a draw.

Why do you think that Spurs will definitely finish in the top 4? They are just 3 points away from the 5th place and will play Liverpool away in the next game and Man City away a few weeks later. The've lost 3 games and undeservedly got a draw in the last 4 games, including losses against Southampton and Burnley.
Pochettino seems kinda defeated reading his comments, plus they are fully focused on the CL.
BC is right, no one (aside from City and Liverpool of course) is safe.

Arsenal winning EL and us winning CL after both falling out of top 4, meaning all top 6 qualifying for CL next season. Make it happen ffs. GOAT league deserves as much as possible to participate, really, more than any oil funded eternal bottlers from farmer leagues
Edit: Rules work that way right? Or is it just 5 at max?

Max 5. 4th place wouldn’t qualify in that situation.

What you are saying is that if Arsenal and Man Utd win the EL/CL then a potentially 4th placed Tottenham wouldn‘t qualify in the CL? If the football gods are real, they‘ll make this happen.

If Chelsea are 3rd, Tottenham 4th, both Man Utd and Arsenal below that but both win CL and EL, yes, I think Tottenham would not get to qualify.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
apparently a two window transfer ban is coming for city.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8640695/man-city-transfer-ban-fifa/
if true, they will appeal this summer, get the ban delayed, and spend a gazillion euros to prepare

Didn't UEFA just rule that the ban isn't suspended during the appeal for Chelsea? probably the same would apply to City.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
really? i did not see that. usually the ban is suspended when they go to TAS. it's a two setp appeal, first to UEFA, then to TAS and that's when they usually suspend the ban

As it stands, we are banned until our appeal is sorted by Fifa, at which point our appeal goes to CAS, where our ban will be suspended until the verdict. I imagine we'll serve our two window ban before that happens
Same will happen to City.

Normally everything is suspended until the appeal process is carried out. FIFA changed the protocol now. Chelsea will appeal to CAS.

It's fake anyway lol, i did a quick Google search and found nothing.
Although the fact i even bothered to Google it will be considered a success for Firenze.

Swansea 2-0 up vs City in the FA Cup. Their second goal was some prime Rodgers/Laudrop-era stuff.
