You are playing City in just over a week's time, when it is perhaps the best time to play them. They somehow look devoid of ideas right now. Win that and it will open up a 9 point gap between the two, something which I can't see you slipping up having played the way you have this season.

One thing I see that will work in favour even when the eventual  slump comes (if it comes that is), is that unlike in the past, Livpool has decent enough depth, to pull you through. City for all their filthy rich attack, is one Fernandinho injury away (which they are experiencing right now) from scrapping barrels and fielding dross.

liverpool will not go unbeaten this season. tbh we have been very lucky in at least 4-5 games this season but like i said we will see how much guts they have when the lose the first game. the next 2 games can make or brake liverpools season. i dont think we can win the title but hats off to klopp and the players for giving it a fucking good go.

Unique is spot on. In the past we have succumbed to the pressure and we could not handle the loss and come out of it to face the next game. I remember those two losses in a row to Chelsea and City for example, under Rodgers I guess.

It's only half way through the season. Any talk about a small gap in points being in any way relevant for the title race is just silly.

Those points mean nothing at all. It all can change in 2 weeks, at any point.

City are favourites, and continue to be favourites.

Yep. Six to ten points gaps even in Feb - March were sometimes not enough in the EPL era. Newcastle in 95-96, Man United in 97-98 and 12-13, Arsenal in 02-03 and 07-08, all of these blew some important leads and ended up not winning the title.

Meanwhile, Spurs losing 3-1 at home to Wolves.

Must be said that Wolves were on point with the subs. Moutinho in and he assists a few minutes later, turning the game around. Helder Costa also subbed in and scored.

Our defence is the best at kicking the ball against each other.

We also know how to make Firmino look like bloody Messi. Every fucking game.

Lichtsteiner has been as bad a signing as the likes of Squillaci and Silvestre. Spends most of this time shithousing. Can't run and certainly can't defend.

Then again, our new wonderboy Torreira has been just as awful out there. He can't keep up with the pace of the game and is chasing the ball around like a kid.

They are both from Serie A so it's understandable they are having issues dealing with the elite level that is the PL. Not sure about Stephan but Torreira just needs more time.

Yet again, Firmino, Mane and Salah have bagged goals against us in a game at Anfield.

Arsenal: the most generous, weakest "top" team around.
