Different players same problem. Nacho has directly contributed to 3 of our last 4 conceded goals

ZZ shows us how much he values Borja by playing without a striker for the last 15 minutes. Sweet. Bet he is counting the hours till the best striker in the world is available again

I liked what I saw today in Ceballos, Vallejo, Theo, Kova and even Lucas. Also Isco totally controlled game and team once he come on. However, the team basically collapsed into a defensive position last 10 minutes and looked pathetic.

Can't disagree with statements about Nacho and Asensio.

Mayoral and Achraf simply are not up to the level needed. And Llorente needs a big boost of confidence.

Maybe the idea of bring on another midfielder instead of an ineffective stiker is not bad idea!!!!

Numancia had like 1 shot on target before Casemiro came on and then they controlled the game while we just kept clearing thr ball like we were the small segunda team. What point was there to the Casemiro sub I have no idea because we predictably played worse when he came on. You can't have two DMs on at the same time, didn't the Clasico defeat teach us that?

Rubbish subs as usual

Hala, what was wrong with the first two subs.

Granted there was a deterioration in the RB sub, but that’s what we have available and Carvajal was the only regular in lineup.

Isco was fantastic.

You have a very valid point re last sub, but you said subs.

But taking off the only ineffective CF was not necessarily a bad move, just maybe it should have been someone other than a DM.

I suspect Zidane wanted to sit back and preserve the copa advancement, and so it wasn’t just Casemiro, it was the whole team playing way back and very ineffective at that.

It shows once again the flaws of Zidane!

It's useless in the sense that he played 1st team players for no reason. We were already 3-0 up from the first leg. Would continuing with Mayoral have hurt him? Why did Carvajal even start, Isco didn't need to come on neither did Casemiro. I understood Bale playing last week but these guys played unnecessarily. Would it havr hurt to play Oscar or Tejero?

The same thing with these b players during the season. Just never plays them

I think it goes back to one of ZZ’s core philosophies: he (attempts to) play players into form. With the starting XI performing so poorly he believes they need playing time to build confidence to sort out their under performing.

These guys are failing ZZ on so many levels. In any other team that Kovacic chance is a sure goal. But not at RM. Meh, take Asensio out and brjng on Isco

Zidane also isn’t coaching them at all.
There’s no one running once we get the ball in the final third. Everyone is static. It’s incredible really

I wish we could clone Isco. I am majorly dissapointed in Kova and Asensio, rubbish game from the both of them. Our whole game was dissapointing, we just kept passing from one side to the other, thank God for Isco, he is the only one that can take on players and actually run vertically as opposed to horizontally like the rest of them

Zidane is not coahcing? Shockers been saying that for 2 years

I have never seen such a blatant example of a guy managing a squad on motivation alone, win so much and then completely wilts when something goes wrong. he has no clue what to do to turn this around. Obviously things will change at some point and I guess he will get credit for that. Incrediblely passive manager.

We need more training sessions of the squad running up the stairs of the Bernabeu like Rocky, such a fraud

coaching on motivation alone... rrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhhht lol. It's such a garbage statement that it's not even worth responding to in detail.

Tony Robbins would have won back to back CLs and a CL/La Liga double in 2 years apparently. Thankfully, history pretty much makes such comments laughable.

With a legendary team, one that had already won la Decima and broken the CL curse. With the best European player in what 25 year, top 10 player ever? Yeah he is a fraud, no need to reply, thank you. The lad lost la Liga in October

Right, like all these bonuses and checks dont motivate players alone lol.... "man managers" are a myth, if there exist one it's Pep but Pep knows his tactics. But you can't win 2 CLs back to back with man managing alone, I don't believe that. And if he can, please do it again lol. Just give him a motivated CF

The irony that both Kova and Asensio were quite direct players last season and not really known to be sideway passing artists. Not sure about Asensio but I suspect Kova's lack of direct running is due to coaching instructions.

Not sure if the coaching is God awful due to the players or the players are this awful due to the coaching. But for a group of really talented footballers, we have been serving up some really really really agonizingly boring football. Like 3 times as boring as Chelsea this season.

Teams park the bus and we can't score an empty net to save our lives. The only way we can open up games is to score early... we don't score period.

It's the most frustrating thing in the world because most games, we SHOULD score in the first half.

And other than Isco, we don't have players that can pierce through congestion. We just don't have players like that. Our guys need space. At least Marcelo was doing that last 2 seasons... but his performance has fallen off a cliff.

Kova in open space it incredible... he's fast as hell. But there is no open space.

The only solution: Ronaldo has to find some semblance of his usual form and Benzema needs to score like a mid table striker at least. AND, Marcelo needs to return to be being Marcelo.

That's the crazy part... players only need to be what they normally are for us to be good... nothing more. They're not being asked to surpass themselves.

We have been poor since the start of the season, that's Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec now Jan. 5 months the message is we are playing well just missing the goals.

You can't be this shit for 5 months it's not acceptable.

What has Zidane done concretely to turn things around? Except having the players run up the stairs of the Bernabeu like Rocky Balboa of course

Maybe you missed it Doc, I think it was the last training session of the year, some kind of boot camp organized by zizou and sergeant Pintus. They had the players run up the stairs of the Bernabeu to invoke the spirit of the Comeback kid Rocky Balboa himself rofl

Can coach to back to back CLs and a CL/La Liga in 2 years, but can't coach past Girona
