Chelsea wins the Premier League 16/17
Congrats to all the fans and players and the manager.
Didn't really think Chelsea would win it early on when Conte was still adjusting and Chelsea's form was hit and miss. However they really went on a great 2nd half run and title was fully deserved.

Conte has made Chelsea more than watchable. Under Mourinho they were the most tiresome team to watch while within one season they are playing some great footy with mostly same set of players. Congrats Chelsea fans.

Amazing season.
two games really stood out. the embarrassing loss against Arsenal that lead to the 3-4-3. The convincing victory against United, which really changed this teams confidence.
Also credit to the diet that was put into place by Conte and our medical staff that allowed this team to stay injury free and fit.

I'm still a doubter of this clown. I congratulate his victory all the same though. Let's see if Conte can repeat with a european season to the schedule.

great management by conte and a little bit of luck with injuries saw them win the top prize.

Congrats to the Chelsea fans. Strongest squad in the league and the best coach who adapted after a false start to lead them to this victorious ending of the season.

fully agreed
even Loserpool have competed with the best this season, people underestimate how massive no european distractions are for a squad
that said, congratz to Conte and Chelsea, completely deserved, been consistent AF this season

Congrats to Chelsea and their fans.
Looked pretty clear from the outset that he would walk the league.
Took a mentally broken 9th place team to a league title. His reputation would have shot ten fold now compared to the big name pretenders who are coaching other teams in the league.

Pretty cool that Conte has essentially done the same thing twice but in two different leagues.
For his first big managerial role he took a seventh place Juventus with a very modest budget to an undefeated season and the foundation for what we see today.
Fast forward and he takes damaged Chelsea team, albeit that is talented and won the league two seasons ago, and brings them back to that level. Again, in his first season with the club.
His managerial resume is already legendary.
Still rate Allegri higher though

Re: Chelsea wins the Premier League 16/17
The West Brom match was a story of most of our season.
Batshuayi (Chelsea) who had underperformed for most of the season (our 15/16) suddenly redeems himself (our 16/17) with the league winning goal. Azpilicueta had no right to get on the end of that mishit shot (we had no right to win the league this season on paper) but he did and put in the cross for Batshuayi to tap in.
Conte has done a fantastic job with Chelsea this season and I hope we get at least 5 years of him at the club, although that's rare to see in football these days (especially at Chelsea). But I'm excited at the prospect of competing in the CL next season with Conte and with some upgrades to the team.
Apparently, as part of his new contract negotiations, the club want him to take a bigger role in bringing academy players through but he's demanding that he be given full control of the academy and freedom to bring in his own man to run the academy. I don't know who's going to budge on that negotiation but it's worth giving him a chance to do what he wants.
All in all, exciting times to be a Chelsea fan. Hopefully we can launch a new era here.
