Theo Hernandez
Looks like we have signed him, according to AS he passed a medical visit
If confirmed, two things:
1) amazing that he chose us instead of barca given the competition; Marcelo is way better than Alba. Says a lot about the mess that Barca have become
2) the non aggression pact Real x Atletico is done
Great player

Re: Theo Hernandez
Hope he has a similar profile akin to carvajal. Didn't really get a good look at him.
Re: Theo Hernandez
I'd rather get Grimaldo if we were to sign a young talented LB from an archrival tbh

Re: Theo Hernandez
Grimaldo? No thanks, let's not buy any more injury prone players.
Theo is a stud, reminds me a lot of Dani Alves although his decision making needs a lot of work but for 24 mil that's a steal.

Didn't he just sign a new contract? Anyone have any idea how much this will cost?

Re: Theo Hernandez
He has a buyout clause of 24mill so we dont need to offer any more than that. Is he still eligible to play for Spain?

Grimaldo? Valk, behave. Assuming all this is true, a lil bit surprised he "rejected" Barcelona for Madrid.

I am surprised too tbh. He would've walked into their backline, whereas he will only be a back up for years for us

Him reminding me of Alves and him needing to work on his decision making were meant to be two separate points. But i don't think there's anything wrong with Alves' decision making?

No, there isn't anything remotely wrong with Alves' decision making. The man was a very consistent performer for Barcelona and usually made the right runs forward. Of course, like any full back in an attacking team, would occasionally get caught out.
Also, you can tell he left a gaping hole in Barcelona's entire play when he left (kicked out, whatever).

Re: Theo Hernandez
Doc, that's just Turok. Any opposing players, coach or team that has confronted us in past is shit according to the Turok propaganda, LOL. I think Juve (and coach) have improved tremendously (and that includes Higuain, Alves) in past year and present a formitable opponent in what may well be one of the finest finals in years. Definitely the two best teams out there.
I still feel we should win, but it won't be easy. If they play as they did last week, we are unbestable. My worries are Zidane playing Bale over Isco.
Back on topic, Theo does represent what we have been asking for several years. A competent LB that is better defensively than Marcelo, almost as good offensively, competition to Marcelo and at an age where there is a huge upside. Excellent signing.

Re: Theo Hernandez
Just not a fan of wingbacks who leave their flanks exposed.
And up until the latter stages of his career, Dani Alves was a Marcelo except he was protected by guardiola system so he could get away with making bad decisions. Guardiola is a hipster but I won't deny he is a smart hipster. And since Barcelona don't deviate from said system that much. Dani Alves was well protected domestically for many years.
Brush up on yer history bill. Or do you not pay attention to Brazil nt where his decision making gets exposed a lot more often? Why you think maicon played over him when that guy was still good? Maicon before his decline was superior to Alves in all aspects.
But enough of getting off topic... I just hope theo follows carvajal example and not Marcelo.

Re: Theo Hernandez
Get over it Turok. I'm not a fan of Alves, but it's more to do with his attitude. Unlike you I can dislike a player or coach, but can respect their play / talent.
I assume by your posts you have not watched Theo!

Benjamin Mendy says hello. Theo is not as good as him by any stretch right now imo. Evra held the spot until the Euro and they wanted to handed it off to Kurzawa or Digne. Neither have impressed. So it's now available but you're going to have to beat Mendy.
Problem in France is that we have 1000000 CBs coming up. Other than the names everyone know, there are a bunch on their way to like Lenglet at Sevilla, Pavard at Stuttgart, Kimpembe, etc.
Might need to switch to a 352 lol.
Alba is absolute garbage btw.

Re: Theo Hernandez
Not quite sure what Mendy have to do with this thread (or I guess Barcelona) but I would have definitely gone for him t0o if I had any say in our transfers. But I like Theo, he can very much work for us.
Wait, is Barcelona interested in Mendy?

Re: Theo Hernandez
That's the rumor doc... that Mendy will go to one and Theo to another. There's also a big push from Pep for Mendy at City.

Re: Theo Hernandez
Damn. Well, I mean, I'm cool with either to be honest but I hope Mendy prefers English weather over Barcelona's theaters. Also, I guess Barcelona giving up on Digne, not that he set the world afire.

You only needed to read my very first post on this thread to see that I've said that I haven't gotten a good look at Theo.
Or do you not read my posts? Why are you assuming? I've already said as much. You are strange.
Sports that mendy drop is random as hell kek. Though Mendy could walk into Barcelona's lineup. hopefully not anytime soon.
Re: Theo Hernandez
I think he goes to City doc... more money and a guaranteed starter (Clichy is that starter right now for City lol).

Re: Theo Hernandez
He saw the writing on the wall with Mendy and the other youth coming up in France... he had far less competition with Spain. He's a bit of a punk though. He had played for France youth throughout and couldn't even call them to let them know of his decision. He just didn't show up one day.
Not very impressed with the Hernandez family to be honest. His brother is having disciplinary problems too and isn't getting a look anymore for now with France as a result. They were trying to use Theo to force France to turn a blind eye on his brother's problems and the FFF told them to f off.

That's awful attitude if true. The least you could do is inform your coach or the FFF
