Ever since Neuer rise to relevance in 2010, we've been hearing about this amazing German goalkeepers in Bundesliga who are the next big thing, the next "Kahn", "Kopke" Lehman" "Neueur"....yet they have all been exposed as utter frauds.

Karius
Adler
Leno
Zieler
etc


Something must be in the German water to produce so many one-season wonders in the net. Buying goalkeepers from Germany is everybit as risky as buying strikers from Eredivise.

Kevin Krapp , Give me a break. Nishankly in net would have saved at least 2 of those 6 goals.

Thankfully there's still the great Marc-Andre ter Stegen. What a wonderful goalkeeper and personality in general.

If you actually watch Bundesliga, it's very easy to tell most of these guys are scrubs. It's the fact that we don't watch the bundesfodder league, we are led to believe these myth about faux quality that they possess.

Just because Trapp is crap doesn't make the rest bad. He was the goalkeeper of Eintrach Frankfurt...

Neuer makes a mistake every 3 games but because nobody watches that league those miatakes are swept under a carpet. He is as overrated as the rest of them

Because Trapp screws up now Neuer is bad, seems legit.

Neuer screwed up just the previous day. Never really rated him as high as the rest. Trapp I don't even rate enough to comment on. It's like discussing Klavan. Why should I waste my breath on a GK not even better than Luca Zidane

Barthez would struggle to start for top teams today. PSG is the only team I can think of. City too since Bravo has been awful since his transfer.

You actually put Barthez in the same class as those others? Hahahaha! Did you even watch Barthez at all or are you just wumming?

You lot must be smoking crack if you think there aren't any great GKs. Did Buffon retire or do we just like shiny new things only? Neuer is also the best GK in the world, whether you like it or not. No need to be contrarian just to sound "smart". De Gea & Courtois are a level below him. Then there's Lloris and then Cech and Navas and everyone else.
