I mean, we certainly can't blow a 3-0 lead against 10 man La Real so I'm gonna call this a much needed win. Did we play well? Um, that 1st half was really incoherent but the 2nd half had more fluidity.

Kovacic showing his talents in a big way, best game I've seen from him in a Madrid shirt. Lucas did well, Ronaldo did...some stuff well and Benzema can't dribble.

Great win! It was a dreadful first half, but we managed to improve slightly in the second half.

Key points:

1. I never considered Morata as elite, and I don't think he'll ever reach that level. But I'd choose him over Benzema any day because he at least has a decent work rate, helps out in defense and scores goals too. It pains me to know that Real Madrid has to choose between Benzema and Morata though. This club needs a much, much better CF than those two combined.

2. Kova is a great talent, and playing time is crucial for his development. We owe it to the kid to give him enough playing time to blossom into the world beater he's meant to be. He's simply too good to be glued to the bench.

3. We need our injured players back ASAP. We're struggling so much without them. The second half wasn't so bad, but the first half was disturbingly bad.

Happy for the win, disappointed with the performance and looking forward to improving.
