Arsenal Vs Stoke
Arsenal Vs Stoke
Saturday 10th December
15:00 BST
Emirates Stadium
Stoke are in decent form so this won't be as easy. Not to mention we had a midweek match so we won't be as energised. However we should still win this. Just need to keep mistakes to a minimum. I can't see us keeping a cleansheet but we will score 2-3 goals if things work out.
Bellerin is back but I'd still start Gabriel as he has been good at RB. And we need to ease Bellerin in.
I'd go with this team
---------------------------Cech-----------------------------
Gabriel--------Mustafi----------Koscielny-------Monreal
--------------Xhaka---------Ramsey----------------------
Walcott---------------Ozil----------------------Oxlade
---------------------Sanchez-----------------------------
Coquelin might start though.

Re: Arsenal Vs Stoke
I've come to expect easy home wins against Stoke, given they've haven't taken a single point off us at the Emirates. They're form has improved but they've been beating some of the league's weakest teams. Honestly anything less than a comfortable victory would be disappointing.
I wonder if we'll see a couple of changes since we have a mid-week game coming up before City away. I can see Lucas keeping his spot after his hat-trick. Maybe Gibbs will keep his spot as well. Ramsey will likely keep his but Coquelin could come in for Everton.

Nah, Sanchez will start up top for sure.
Don't really see Perez starting in any of the next few Prem games barring injuries to Sanchez and Giroud.
Agree with you though that we should be winning this comfortably

Ramsey not even on the bench is strange. Probably injured.

Re: Arsenal Vs Stoke
Probably got a knock yesterday or something. Or ill.
Surprised Lucas didn't get a start after his hat-trick. He deserves more minutes than he's been getting, especially as Walcott's form has dipped.

Ramsey out with a "slight hamstring injury".
Given his history with hamstring injuries, I wouldn't be surprised if he disappeared for the next three months.

Will be interesting to see how Theo and Ox perform, so far Ozil and Sanchez have been doing 90 percent of the work in attack. It would be nice if someone was to pick up a bit of form and make us less predictable going forward.

1-0 Stoke on the pen. We have sleep walking in this game to be honest. Need to raise it now

Bellerin with a rusty cross
We look so off the pace at the moment,, Ozil and Sanchez need to pull something out off the bag. Looking toothless at the moment

We recovered well.
Should win this in the 2nd half but Stoke are a threat on the counter

Re: Arsenal Vs Stoke
So after Wilson established you can win a pen by running into someone's hip, Allen has now established you can get a pen by running into someone's arm.
Joke penalty decisions aside, it's been one of those typical "not at it" home performances. Balls over the top are turning our backline too easily, we're not quite picking up late runs from Stoke's midfield and our attack isn't creating much. Walcott has been lively but his passing has been heavy, while Chamberlain has been invisible.
Mustafi's injury is a blow but Bellerin's appearance has been a blessing because he's been getting in behind Stoke.
Need a controlled second half now.

Re: Arsenal Vs Stoke
Feel like Elneny could offer more than Coquelin in such games, especially when partnered by Xhaka.
