Holy shit this season has started amazingly. Soo good. I can't decide which of the 2 I like more so far. Just by a hair I'll go with Playtest over Nosedive because it spooked the crap out of me at 4am

Finished the season. My ratings.
Playtest - 8.7
Nosedive - 8.6
San Junipero - 8.5
Shut Up and Dance - 8.4
Hated in the Nation - 8.2
Men against Fire - 8.1
Major spoilers
And I have to say the scores in all episodes were amazing. I'll have to look up most of the music because I really really enjoyed them.
Playtest - 8.7
Nosedive - 8.6
San Junipero - 8.5
Shut Up and Dance - 8.4
Hated in the Nation - 8.2
Men against Fire - 8.1
Major spoilers
- Playtest:
- My favorite of the season. Properly spooked the crap out of me. Better than 99.9% of big budget horror movies. The main actor was great. I liked him in 22 Jump Street and Everybody Wants Some as well. The writing was great, the directing was great, the cinematography was great, everything was very strong. Maybe the ending could have been better but I enjoyed it.
- Nosedive:
- Loved it for the fact that it showed where our society and social media might be headed. Even if the idea itself of rating people might or might not come to fruition, the whole fakeness and social status based on popularity on social media all of it hits home in our current society.
Bryce Dallas Howard with a great performance. The directing and cinematograph was great. The ending could have been better with her speech because it was a bit of a meh rant imo. Also after 10 minutes it was very predictable where the episode was heading.
- San Junipero:
- 3rd favorite of the season.
This one had a great concept. Mackenzie Davis I had no idea where it was going in the first act but once we realize the concept it kind of blew my mind.
However, major let down with the ending for me. The fact that they forced a happy ending on us after Kelly went off about her life and sacrifice with he husband, brought the episode down a little imo. Would have been second favorite for me this season if they didn't *bleep* up the ending.
Overall the score, directing, and cinematography was amazing this episode.
- Shut Up and Dance:
- Another good one. Bron I was wondering why the hell the kid would go through all that trouble if it was just a video of him beating off to porn but the revelation at the end makes sense. And it makes sense why the group chose two pedophiles fighting to the death and not the rest whose crimes weren't as bad as that.
- Hated in the Nation:
- Good episode but nothing great. Was very un-BlackMirrory imo.
First I just hated the main detective. Jesus, in real life she would never ever make it to be a main homicide detective. Her personality was soo weak. Her voice and fake accent annoyed the living crap out of me.
Second I'm just not too big on police procedural type episodes. And this episode was just way too long. Longer than the rest of the episodes with a meh concept.
And the ending with the blond girl just following the antagonist, was so meh. Should have ended the episode with the mass loss of population, it would have left us with chills.
Overall good episode. I didn't hate it. But below the other 4.
- Men against Fire:
- Similar to Hated by The Nation Good overall episode that just didn't do it for me.
Doug Stamper though Loved him as always.

Finished first episode, my reaction was meh after it finished, i was like "that was all ?"
I don't know, maybe because Black Mirror has been so good that i keep expecting masterpiece from them in every episodes.

3) White Bear - 8.7 (1st watch is amazing. Puts it only 2nd to WC. But not as rewatchable though once you know the twist. The second watch through, the whole first 30 minutes is very meh and the lead character with some very annoying acting).

Fun fact, Shut and Dance and The National Anthem are happening in the same timeline and universe and same place. The anonymous online people are most likely the same group. That's why they seem so similar.

Yup also stopped after Playtest. Just shook me mentally so I had to stop. It was very late also but that feeling I got is the main reason why this episode is my favorite for this season.

Playtest was good. Nosedive was more my kind of episode though. But playtest was so well-directed. Dan Trachtenberg is really great. First 22 Cloverfield Lane and now this. Can't wait to see his next film, which hopefully is the Portal movie.

Finished it. very thought provoking, if i could describe this show in two words, each episodes will leave you thinking for hours.

- Nosedive:
- Meh ending but the message is strong, i'm not big on social media so this episode didn't hit me very hard.
- Playtest:
- I'm a gamer so this episode was right up my alley, lots of easter eggs and references from the video game industry in this episode, i made the mistake of watching this episode in the midnight and it spooked the shit out of me but didn't like it much when it became inception-ey in the end.
- Shut up and Dance:
- This episode was the White Bear of this season with some blackmail elements, good acting by Bronn and nice twist in the end revealing why the kid was so scared of the video being leaked, during the whole episode i was asking myself why this kid is so afraid of a jerking off video.
- San Junipero:
- manly tears were shed on this episode, i cried like a bitch after watching this and i'm not even ashamed of it. this episode was just so beautiful, completely different from a normal Black Mirror episode. wasn't bothered much by the happy ending, it was a refreshing change of pace for a show that is usually bleak.
- Men Against Fire:
- This episode deals with the concept of dehumanization of the enemy, as a guy who lives in a country that is being constantly bombarded by propaganda, this episode really resonated with me.
- Hated in the Nation:
- The accent of the main actors were annoying AF and i didn't like the vague tech concept behind this episode, that artificial bee thing was just too far fetched imo so it was hard for me to suspend my disbelief about it, obviously doesn't help that i also don't like police procedural stuff.

I watched the first 3 episodes of season 3 and just wow. Black Mirror solidified itself as one of the best TV shows out of all time. I hope the the popularity and publicity that comes with Netflix will get this series some Emmys.

Shut Up And Dance is my favorite as well. Incredible acting by young Alan Turing and Bronn.
I didn't hate the last two episodes like the others here did. Thought they were the weakest of the season but it was some damn good TV.
