Firstly, modric and kroos changed towards the end of the season.
Even though they were taking much shots at goal, you notice modric driving forward while kroos stays back or vice versa.
Their style complemented BBC, but we all wish they could attack a little more.

Let's for once build a team and consistency with only square pegs in square holes and scrap the idea of having an isco and james as bench players, or kroos as a sub to pogba, or lewandoski as a back-up to benzema. Even though they all sound good on paper, you will never get the best out of all of them if they are not starters.
Not all players need to fight for their position. Just let them be comfortable and grow into it.

1. Alaba was on Zidane's dream list, but I believe they have been flatly rejected by Bayern. He could be invaluable as he provides coverage required at two positions.

2. I believe they are taking of Rodriquez or Coentrao at LB.

4. I understand Jese, Kova and Nacho will be going out on loan, meaning we need a couple more bench players, if that happens.

Who knows! I seen two different takes on Coentrao, one saying he has burnt bridges and no way he will be back, another saying they may (I assume if they don't get their target LB) keep him. I suspect it depends on 1. Can they sign their target (Reportedly Rodriquez ie Wendell). 2. Is there any interest out there to buy Coentrao.

Re Nacho, he has to play more to have any chance at NT plus reportedly Zidane wants Nacho, Kova and Jese out on loan to play as first stringers and speed up their development. There hasn't been any talk of sales, only loans and they want guarantees of playing time. There are at least three teams with interest in Nacho. The club has Diego Llorente waiting in the wings if he does go plus there has been mention of 2 or 3 other possible options as a 4th CB.
