@tito... you're right. Our guys that are supposed to create for the strikers are absolutely pathetic at it. Looking at you Vasquez, Marcelo, Danilo, James and Kroos. You all suck as of 15 mins. Pathetic. The runs and opening are there and you just can't hit them.

James is leaving the midfield.Some times it helps us in attack but some times the midfielders struggles because of it. Danillo is just lost cause imo. Who scouted that guy?. He has really bad defensive reactions.

not twice... the second one was tipped back by the defender and there's no offsides if the last touch is the opposition. He was initially offisdes though.

I think James is being given a bit more freedom only because Lucas is there. Of our attacks, James seems to push up then Lucas hangs back.

To be fair...its a walking competition between Benzema and CR when Valencia have the ball...forcing either Kroos or James to leave midfield and press their CBs...They hoofed it twice and once it was Kroos once James..

Forwards are a joke defensively.Jogging wont help you win the ball back. I saw a statistic which showed that we are dead last in La Liga in balls won before 7 passes attempted by the opposition.

This whole notion of central strikers defending the midfield is absolutely dumb. If you play catnaccio like Atleti or press very high, sure. If not, you want them to save their energy for the attack, not defend. Only time they should defend is if the CBs have the ball.

This is really the basics of footy dude.

We dont need them to track back when Lucas does, what we need is a 2 block of 4. James' indiscipline is hurting that midfield. I dont blame him he isnt a CM and offensively he has been fantastic this game

Who talks about defending the midfielders ?

Kroos and James should not be the players making the CBs and GK hoof the ball. Its forwards job and they are not doing it, never have done and never will.

Danilo was awful.... crap.

James isn't a CM. He doesn't know what to do defensively there. It's not effort either. It's positioning.

Kovacic needs to really work on positioning too. He's not a CM either if that's the plan. Another Isco and James project if that's our intent.

Marcelo never defended but he was better than Danilo for whatever that's worth Laughing

We won. 2nd place now. But we won't win La Liga barring a miracle.
