Re: Zidane Sack Watch
I don’t see (and it’s just my opinion) Perez making any deal with PSG for a long long time. There are bridges burnt that won’t be rebuilt.
Then there is Flo’s signing approach that has changed drastically in past few years to stay out of the bidding wars as much as possible that are primarily driven by PSG and City.
He is after young prospects, players playing out their contracts or close to it such that transfer fees can be reduced and as long as players work out he will keep them as long as possible if they are contributing.

you’ve got to be an idiot of the highest order if you still want the Mbappe fraud to play for our club at some point

The change in approach from his first tenure was impressive to witness. We're talking about a man who at some point firmly believed world class coaches are not needed and certain positions on the pitch are not important enough to warrant signing good players to fill them

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
According to Romain Molina, Zidane has again rejected PSG this week.
This is where I quit this situation, not gonna deal with sources back and forth lol

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
@farfan, that to me has been the most interesting thing about flo. everything has been a complete turn around, which is to his credit; a lot of people in sports, when they have certain ideas, want to stick to those ideas regardless. even style, florentino of old was an advocate of a certain brand of football, now not so much , as long as titles come in.
pat riley too is an example of someone on that level who went with a completely different approach than his original stance or take. an interesting take as a whole, regarding mgrs/presidents/GMs on whether sticking with one way is always the best bet or welcoming change, but possibly for another thread

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
According to some reports they are using the NT job to back him into a wall and sort of force him to accept the job.
It was never about money for Zidane as he has left money on the table both as a player and coach. It was always going to be about the NT job. Even if he doesn't get it he'll have RM waiting for him whenever he is ready to coach clubs again
He's very principled

I’m just loving this Qatar and Mbappe GM not getting their way and rumoured problems all over the place.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
He said today during an interview that he will soon go back to coaching. I wonder where he will coach next? My money is on the France NT because all the big clubs have already their coaching positions set.
I wanted to see him in the CL with another team, but it looks like this won't happen anytime soon.
Deschamps' contract with France ends December this year, so Zidane will most definitely take over.

Juve is possible too DoC. Depending on how far France go... either France NT or Juve.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Well Zizou is a better fit for our current squad than Max
If Allegri gets sacked at the end of the season and there is still possibility to appoint Zidane i think Juve will be the highest bidder
Him being available could even accelerate the process of firing Allegri, that's how deluded our president is, with his goal to turn Juve into a c00L f4m0us brand
That said i think France NT is written in the sky
