Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
December 8, 2015 • 19:45 • Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid
Rafa has selected 19 players for Real Madrid's matchday six encounter in the Champions League group stage, which sees them take on Malmö at the Santiago Bernabéu (Tuesday, 8:45pm CET).
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Casilla, Rubén Yáñez and Álex Craninx.
Defenders: Pepe, Nacho, Marcelo, Arbeloa and Danilo.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Casemiro, Kovacic, Cheryshev, Isco and Marcos Llorente.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Lucas Vázquez and Jesé.
To Be Rested: Bale, Ramos, Modric and Navas.
Out Injured: Carvajal, Varane.
Probable Lineup: Casilla, Arbeloa, Pepe, Nacho, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kova, Isco, James, Ronaldo, Jesé.
First spot is already in the bag, I hope Rafa shuffles his pack and let our benched players have some minutes.

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
Rafa wants our guys to feel what it's like to play with 9 men, so he decided to field Arbeloa and Danilo

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
Good half. How many overhead kicks has Ronaldo attempted now?? Like 10 and he has never hit the ball cleanly once.
Anyways happy with the players. I dont get why Isco plays in attack and James in midfield though. Shouldnt it be the other way round
Lets make some subs, Marcelo for Pepe, Llorente for Isco and Lucas for James

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
Hala exactly what I was going to say.
Isco should be in midfield and James on wings.
Our defence line is pathetically deeper but I have accepted it now. Why is it so deeper omg

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
A couple remarks from the first half:
1. Ronaldo should really go back on the wings, his crosses are deadly accurate.
2. If Isco had had a needle and a thread, he would've made two long coats and a blanket by halftime. I lost count how many times he dribbled past them. Still, I think it would've been better to play James where Isco is and Isco where James is.
He had two superbly done with us but where blocked by the goalkeeper and another one by the post.

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
Gotcha must have forgotten about those
We lose the ball less when only one of Ronaldo/Bale is playing. There is alot of interchanging positions going on which i like. Alot of that is due to James' and Isco's understanding with eachother and thats why they should play together not separate
I dont think the defensive line was deep. I lost count on how many times Pepe won the ball back on the half way line. I think there was like a 60 second period where Malmö were passing the ball around really well and we dropped deeper and deeper but thats about it
Oh and also please someone teach Danilo how to cross a damn ball

Yeah... it's about football. Forget the fact that, during a NT break on NT property, Benz approached a teammate to help his friend blackmail him. Been lying about it to everyone since and he's been caught in those lies as he keeps changing his story.
But hey, we should admire him because he's scoring goals. Who cares about him being involved in blackmail.

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
I thought this was a Real Madrid forum, not a Benzema forum!!!
It seems every topic is monopolized about this one single player be it criticism against him, praise for him, how many goals he gets (or not) and of course the ongoing saga of his criminal activities to which this huge supporter believes he has done nothing wrong (despite what Nick has reported today, the police have on him).
And then of course we are all branded as knowing nothing about futbol just because we are sheep following one another with our hate!!!
The bigger question should be after the FFF ban him from the NT on Thursday, what will Madrid do?

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
this was a game we won that i couldn't care for in the least. i was almost ashamed. don't get me wrong, its definitely better than losing. but the fact we were made to look like schoolboys last month in el clasico, and had no clue against sevilla, yet we ravage malmo and getafe, just strikes me as the reality of madrid these days. yes its good for confidence, but i want to see that attitude against all opposition. if you are beating reasonable teams and direct rivals, then by all means stat-pad against small sides....but when we are looking like schoolboys, and then ravage malmo (a game where the result means squat), forgive me for not getting into the festivities. i'm happy at least most of us fans aren't getting too excited

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
Question here. Have you ever yourself played competitive team sports? Probably no. Well, I have and a huge win after a tough period means the world to a team. It's so good for morale and will help the team eventually. This result was important, much more than a small win. Guys were actually having fun out there for once.

yes i have and i'm not saying its not good for morale. forgive me if i'm not jumping for joy over it. i feel the same way i felt when we mauled getafe the day after we were eliminated by juve. as fans we all have different ways of reacting to stuff; this is mine. i hope we show the same in upcoming games and eventually against tougher sides

This.
Tbh I don't know how our players have been smiling and celebrating goals as if they didn't get raped two weeks ago. There should be zero celebrations, just grab the ball and run it back to the middle of the pitch as if you're trying to stage a comeback.

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
i understand @freeza's point, he is looking at it from the standpoint of the players. i'm looking at it from a fan's view. but this happens a lot, we lose a game that matters, bash some small side (still better than losing to them to be honest), and after years without the league, the routine just isn't something i can cope with. as leswagg said, i just want us to get the game going and look forward to working hard as the games pile on

I was a junior player for a Ligue 1 team in France until the age of 15. My parents then moved to the US and that ended that.
Why am I such a Zidane fanatic? He was my teammate for a year.

Re: Real Madrid vs Malmö FF
@freeza... i was responding to Chad btw. This is of course a huge win and a momentum builder. If Benz can help us, then i'm happy for the team. But i cannot and will not support this douche. Can you imagine if a teammate of yours came to you and pushed a sex tape blackmail? That's why i'm more outraged than most. It's bad enough to do it period.... but to a teammate WHILE training for a game????
