Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid Empty Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid

Post by halamadrid2 Thu Oct 22, 2015 8:05 pm

If Benitez wants respect we need to win this game or at least keep a clean sheet. He was excused vs Atleti because of Arbeloa. These days he doesnt select him anymore.

Celta are the most in form team in laliga. Basically a bunch of blood thirsty hyenas that will greet us at the Balados stadium. Their strength after their never ending pressure is their wings and our fullbacks struggle with those. Isco is going to have to play as a secnd rb to help Danilo with Nolito. Lord knows what he'll do to him with nobody to help him out. I already have a feeling Marceo will expose us in defence so he better fcking make up for it in attack.

Benzema is back in training so will probably start. Modric got some minutes against PSG so will be ready. James not yet as he has been out for so long.

Likely line up:

Navas
Danilo-Varane-Ramos-Marcelo
Kroos-Casemiro-Modric
Isco-Benz-Ronaldo

Huge game for Navas too as Ramos is starting against a very good attaking team

This is one of those games where we could easily lose. Celta just tore Barca apart a few weeks ago and they can do the same to us if we aren't being careful.

Just watched a highlight of last seasons game away from home vs Celta.

Rip our defence rofl but they were very open at the back. With our much improved defensive shape lets see if it deals with their attackers

Celta kicked the whining out of Barça with a 4-goal demolition. If we win this, we'll have enough confidence to start gunning on all fronts. It's going to be very difficult but we can do this.

Btw, This is where our plan B players would have come in handy. Their pressing and high work rate would have helped us a lot. It's a shame that Rafa only gives them a chance when somebody is injured. The kids played magnificently well against PSG. oh well...

i actually think this would be our most difficult match yet and the match that would truly test our defensive organization.
Without knowledge of their demolotion of Barcelona and their standing on the league table, Vigo are a team that pass as accurately as psg or even more, but they are as energetic as atletico madrid and are very attack-minded. Jese would come in handy in a game like this and i expect him to score a goal. This is not a match for Ronaldo as it is a big game. He would get his chance in the small games, but if he would score, expect it to be a tap in or a penalty. I hope he proves me wrong for the first time this season.
I hope we win this match, it will be a big step forward

No No No.......

It's a simple question.
You made a statement. I'm questioning that statement with a question.

Answer it............ or don't. I'll have my answer either way.

Anything but a win is not acceptable. Celta has become a very good team.

I feel like Casemiro will win us the match with his current form. He will provide that extra shield we didnt have last year when we played them.

Honestly, i'd play the team that started against PSG this past wednesday.

@izzy
you have an end in mind, no amount of facts would change your mind. Am sure in your mind you feel "its me vs shadexticos" but i honestly dont care about you. When you opinions tally with facts and observations, i will recognize and commend them.
Am sure your end point is not "Ronaldo is the best" rather, shadexticos is wrong.

I expect, casemiro, keylor and Jese to be key in this match. I suspect Danilo would get butt-Fxcked by Nolito.

Imagine Buying Nolito (A former Barca Academy player) maybe we will finally get our Eto vengeance

A simple question........ cannot be answered.

This is why you and Chad's "opinions" (that you both TRY to present as facts) are not taken seriously here. You can't answer simple questions, you can't have proper debates and when someone calls you out on a statement or proclamation you have made, you run, try to diminish others opinions and deflect....... then come back a day later and start the nonsense again.

The "Plan A or Plan B" thread is a perfect example of that. You can't even accept someone else's opinion without saying "You don't watch the game".

Ridiculous.

Has the makings of a nail biting draw for either side. Though I'll say this, if Celta can pull off a win against us, I would consider them genuine title contenders.

And for the record, we as a fan base have to actually address this Ronaldo doesn't show up in big games because I think we have a varying definition of what it means to "show up". Not gonna say anything else on that, just think we should talk about it in more detail.

"A simple question can not be answered!" do we look like we are in preparotory school?
izzy: Was last year against Sevilla away from home, a big game?
shadexticos: yes it was
izzy: was xxx game also a big game?
shadexticos: yes it was
izzy: did Ronaldo score in those games, yes or no?
shadexticos: yes he did.
izzy: And you say Ronaldo does not score in the big games.

Oh please!
your end is predictable from the beginning.
If you have your counter-points, just lay it down on the table.

I agree with Doc, maybe we should just open a thread, put links to his statistics and come to a common ground once and for all.

Again, your inability to answer a simple question has now led to you making assumptions about my apparent agenda. Laughing

If I was trying to prove that Ronaldo shows up in big games, wouldn't I have used the CL Quarter Final 2nd leg against Atleti instead to prove my point? Is that not a bigger game than away vs Sevilla?

My God.
I used the Sevilla game as a simple basis to see what type of team or situation you would qualify as a big game. If you didn't qualify the Sevilla game as a big game then it would lead me to believe that big games to you are against legit teams that are competing with us for trophies and I would have expelled Sevilla from the discussion.

But of course, instead of just answering the question, you made assumptions and ran with it...............

................ which all could have been avoided by answering a simple question.

But no, you're too smart for me. Darn.

I believe a win is 70% likely, farca defense is much worse than RM,ramos and marcelo only worries but im sure they will be focused.

a dominant win would be a big confidence boost, score early and control the game, same level of team work like yesterday a clean sheet wouldn't be too far fetched.

shade, honestly, you need to be able to differentiate between constructive and destructive criticism. If you're going to lay down the hammer on Ronaldo every time, people will stop taking you seriously. And believe me, many have already.

You're a Real Madrid fan, that means the club comes first and your personal preferences come second. We get it, you don't like him. But think about Real Madrid first. Ronaldo, whether we agree or not, is a player who can score at any given second regardless of how good/bad he plays. You need someone like that in your team. You always need that.

Now, if you're going every time you comment to insult him and say how worthless he is, people will stop taking you seriously, because he is one of the two best players of our generation.

Now, I encourage you to criticize him when he plays bad. But refrain from saying that he should be dropped or that we don't need him. That's ridiculous and is destructive to the team as a whole. I hope you take this tip; after all we are all Real Madrid fans and we want the best for our club.

No, you are the smart one, when you get figured out, you completely change your angle.
The fact that you say that was the intention of the question doesn’t prove that was the intention of the question. For all I know, if I had said Sevilla was a big game, you could have said they weren’t our rivals for the trophy, and if I said they weren’t a big team, you could dig up Sevilla’s head to head statistics with Madrid and other top teams and also refer to their Back to Back Europa League trophy. So you see, if you want to state a point, just state…….the smart one.

Incorrect again.

This is how I KNOW you don't pay attention, so let me help you out.

I DON'T consider Sevilla a big game, regardless of the situation. They are easy work to me and any Madrid fan here will tell you that is how I ALWAYS approach Sevilla.

Last season where we had the string of games against Sevilla, Juve, Valencia, Juve, I repeatedly stated that we will coast past Sevilla and that the Juve games are the only one's we should worry about. Others told me that I was crazy and that Sevilla hadn't lost at home and that it was a huge game.

I still dismissed them.

I never saw you comment on the game and if others here had a different opinion on whether that game was a big game or not, would it not make sense to ask you whether you thought it was a big game or not? Why would I assume your answer if I didn't do it to anyone else here?

This goes back to the fact that you don't consider others opinions.

My God, I said before the PSG game that I was not concerned and that the Celta game is more important and others disagreed with me. According to some posters here, Ronaldo played well against PSG, I didn't care because I had already dismissed the game. Does this not contradict my previous statements....... or is that you just making assumptions again?

Think, just think for a second.

Lmao. You are such an egotist!  See how you emphasized ‘I DON’T’ and ‘I ALWAYS’ like your opinions are the gospel and we have to all pay attention. Like ffs bruv, am I suppose to follow every comment you make and comments you made like how many months ago. I am a poster, not an admin.  Ridiculous!
Now that you mentioned your opinion about PSG and Celta, I remember reading that post and I said to myself “this guy sees what I see” I thought the same thing too.  But now that you mentioned that you were the one that said it, maybe I will pay more attention to your moniker, Maybe! Lol. Cos you seem to like attention - “I DON’T” “I ALWAYS” LOL.

I'm trying very hard not to be rude, very hard.

I'm telling you that I DON'T see it as a big game and never have, BUT OTHERS DO.
I'm asking you whether YOU see it as a big game or not because I don't know your opinion on that. Your answer will give me a better opportunity to gauge what games you consider big games and what games you don't.

How is that egotistical? Do you even know what that word means?
I'm egotistical because I'm asking you for your opinion? Really?

Sports saw the PSG game as big game, I didn't, that doesn't mean that I reject his opinion, we just differ on that one topic. That's all. I make sure that my opinion is seen as MY OPINION and don't try and spread it as fact. Just because I didn't see it as a big game doesn't mean it wasn't to others.

How are you not grasping this?

Egotistic: Characteristic of false pride; having an exaggerated sense of self-importance.
I am very aware of the meaning.
Lol @ izzy….hey man, am jst messing wiv u. Let us get over it. Besides, the genesis of the topic was about Ronaldo misfiring in the big games and I have decided not to talk about him that much again cos I admit that I have been excessively and unnecessarily critical. Every time i post in a thread, even if it has nothing to do with Ronaldo, i find a way to express my detest for him but that's all stopping.
Lets stop littering this thread with unrelated stuff. It ends here!
