I was certainly following madrid when DMzema was being kept on the bench by Higuaín

next didn't benzema step up HUGE in the r16, when mou the retard tried to drop him cause benz was picking up form, and in 10 mins he dribbled 4-5 lyon players, to score one of madrid most famous away goals .

I hope morata stays and seriously rotates with benzema, poor guy had to play through injury. Ronaldo most likely suffered an LCL tear and those suck but you always come back 100%. Lucas has shown to be a class player when called upon to replace bale, who is injured quite a bit.

I will be talking about Jese - the expected crown Jewel of the Castilla, the supposed heir to Raul's throne, the supposed new C.Ronaldo, the eternal starlet.

Heard some news that Jese wants to stay and fight or his place.
Considering that Morata has overtaken Jese in his development, we expect Morata to be considered above him in any selection.
If we go by last season, we would have noticed that the bench players in madrid only got a look in when one of the BBC were injured. Which means Morata is not eveb sure to get enough chances, not to talk of Lucas Vasquez who will be the fifth choice and then Jese.
Even as a fifth choice, he got only 26% of the total playing time, now he is the sixth choice behind an already proven 75 million euros Morata (at least that is the value madrid placed on him), a more mature and ever-dedicated Lucas.

I think it would be stupid if him to stay. He is 23 years and he is not any better than a player from the youth team in terms of his development, which is majorly due to lack of playing time.

Carvajal, vasquez and Morata's story are enough motivation for him.
His ceiling is defintely higher than morata and up there with the world class players; he has the potential to be worth 50-60 million euros or even more at his peak.
But if he decides to fight for a lost course, then i see him turning to a Bojan Krickic (whatever the spelling is)

I don't think we can discount the huge points deficit Zidane was operating under when we consider his squad selection. In those circumstances, it's reasonable to only put the best out when you need to win every point available just to be in with a shout.

Real Madrid's new fitness coach, Antonio Pintus, has joined Zidane & the coaching staff in the preseason.

Hopefully we'll have less injuries now that Zizou has got a guy in that he trusts

I am particularly excited about Marcos Llorente.
First time i saw that guy was about three or 4 years ago and i was really impressed by him.
He controls the ball well, distributes it quickly, has some aggression and can maneuver his way out of trouble.
Ever since i first saw him, i rated him as one of the best youth products but i am surprised it is taking so long for him to make the leap up to the first team.
I predict he will be the breakout star of this season and probably capable enough to play in Casemiro's position.
If he would not get enough playing time, he should be loaned..

According to Marca ZZ has been practicing with a 442. Morata-Benz duo up top. All dem crosses by Bale and Lucas finally going to reach people in the box can't wait to see this partnership

It's mainly because neither Bale nor Ronaldo will be ready for supercup. However, I think this experimenting with 4-4-2 also will be used (if they step up their game as is being requested) to allow more options (occasionally) for James and Isco.

I think if they can switch between a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3 depending upon players available and opponents, it can make a difference and further helps Zidane in his reported quest to utilize entire squad.

(This of course will not happen if Sports is right about the politics on club and Z not happy with half the squad!!!)

Not too happy about a 4-4-2 with Bale and Ronaldo as "midfielders."

Putting all politics aside for a moment, playing that formation with who I assume would be Bale and Ronaldo on the wings with Kroos and Modric in the midfield looks like a 4-2-4 to me.

That is a mistake we have been making for years. Not sure why it isn't already in the bin.

Deez, I see it more as Ronaldo and Benz up front. The intent would be, as I understand it, play with Modric - Casemiro or Kross with at least one of the AMs, perhaps depending upon rotation, availability of players and opponent.

They are saying for supercup they are looking at Modric, Casemiro, Isco and possibly James, if he is ready. They don't expect Bale, Ronaldo, Kross to be ready.

I was going off the post- testing out the Benzema/Morata partnership, so Bale and Ronaldo would both be on the wings.

I personally wouldn't test the Benzema/Morata partnership as they should rarely be on the pitch at the same time if everyone is fit.
