Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Just rename it and be done with
ufff, huge news @Frenzy
About time they hired a competent DoF
Dont think Paratici will leave though
Manchester United are reportedly considering Roma’s Monchi or Fabio Paratici of Juventus to be their new sporting director.
The Red Devils have the highest revenue of any club in world football, but have often struggled to attract their top targets.
Transfer business is currently carried out largely by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, but the Independent reports that United are looking for a more specialised sporting director.
The newspaper believes both Monchi and Paratici are high on the shortlist, but would prove difficult to tempt away from Roma and Juventus respectively.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, currently at Ajax, is another option as is Domenico Teti of Novara, who brought Mauro Icardi to Italy when he was technical co-ordinator at Sampdoria.

I think Woodward will remain and probably focus more on the commercial/business side while they hire a proper footballing man to help out with transfers. Maybe United are set to change their club structure/hierarchy as well like Arsenal ?

redcafe absolutely destroying pogba ffs... its actually amusing because he is their best player and mourinho is a known *bleep*. mou turned on pogba last year, talked crap about him when he wasn't at his best, and played mctominay over him in a crucial CL game, i mean does mourinho expect a letter with roses attached?

First Boateng and now Zidane.
The arrogance of these Yanited fans, unbelievable really. You're in no position to ask for more and should be lucky they're considering you in the first place.
Got utter plebs like Smalling and Bayley starting but they didnt want a WC and CL champion in Boateng. They have a dinosaur in Mourinho who usually leaves his teams worse off and they don't want a 3peat CL winning champion like Zidane either.
The disrespect and delusion is unreal. Can't believe what I'm reading.

Its just one guy tbh and he was also scoffing at Diego Godin, a world class CB that would probably start in any team in the world let alone a team which fielded Lindelof-Bailly last game

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Smalling and Bailly > Boateng, OUT with that shit just because he won a WC and CL years ago you numpty. And? that was then, it's 2018 now and he's mediocre, old and injured. Which is the EXACT reason Bayern were shopping him around to any team that would be dumb enough to drop 50m on him.
Godin is a top CB but I said he wouldn't do much for us in the long term, our defense is perfectly fine. He's old and expensive. Nothing wrong with what I said.
I'm supposed to be excited about the prospect of Zidane? lol, okay. Tactical genius and all that, eh. Even Madrid fans didn't particularly rate him and everyone knows he was carried by one of the most stacked teams of all time. He very much has a lot to prove still, don't act like he doesn't. He could very well completely flop outside of that Madrid environment.
Sorry, but we're Manchester United, the biggest club in the world, we attract the biggest names, but that doesn't mean we should drop stupid money on them, maybe years of struggling to attract names for you Milan fans has left you dreaming to take anyone's leftovers, but not me. I'd like to see the club make the right moves for once.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
No you're not and you don't attract the biggest names either. Your supposed best players are a dab master who wasn't even the best player in Juventus when you got him and a 30yo forward who flopped at Barca and had one good season at Arsenal. But you still blame Mourinho who found dross back in 2016 and still got supplied with dross by the so called club who 'can do things in the transfer market that others dream about'. No top club around would want any of your players because they are average. Be it defenders or attackers.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Yes we are and yes we do. Stay mad. Consistently signing the biggest names in football over the last 5 years, even if they sometimes flop like ADM. Ibra, Pogba. Sanchez etc were all huge names when we signed them. Pogba was the hottest transfer at the time. I know me saying that rustles you rn since your stars are clamoring to leave and you end up dropping money on numpties like Vinicius. But this is an inarguable fact. Not bragging. Facts.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
I tend to agree with Firenze, as funny as it can be to mock United, Boateng is not that elite CB you guys are describing here. Naming all the trophies he won to justify needing to sign him is a farce.
We were all here watching the absolutely melt he was in the world cup, in key CL games vs Madrid in the past 3 years, he has gotten owned several times. he is a fraud nowadays, living on past accomplishment. Not to mention how often he is injured. Bayern do well without him because of their stacked team and weak league. What you should be wondering is why they were happy to sell him and turn on Pavard. And i dont even add how much money he was asking... At the end of the day, not even PSG thought it was worth signing him.
And what Firenze says about Zidane is also true, there are questions marks. I respect the man for all he won, but it's normal to be hesitant about what he did in Madrid. Rijkaard who changed the course of barca's recent history did nothing after. Where was Sacchi after Milan? It's not a given he would just walk to United, a club which has problems everywhere and crush it

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Seriously though, at a fan level, United fans aren't in a positive position to be all picky to who should and who shouldn't come.
At a management level, the club should totally exercise caution (should have done that from the fking start but whatever) when signing players and managers. Hiring Moyes and the fraudiest fraud to ever fraud ever in Van Gaal were bad decisions. Don't @ me. Putting Sanchez on a huge contract that probably has limit their spending power was a mistake. You can @ me with that one.
Hans could talk all the fluff he wants, Boateng ain't good enough, not for the price and wages he'll demand. Zidane won 3 CL in a row but that is with a very stacked squad and a club he knows all too well. Utd should be very weary of what he might bring to them (would still be a bit better than Jose though).

Kovacic has done nothing to warrant any hype, Savic would never be highly rated till he leaves Lazio and Boateng is no longer elite. Actual truth bombs tbh.

Lol @Firenze just because your club has money it doesnt mean it deserves the best. You should be thankful you have the opportunity to land a player like Boateng and a coach like Zidane considering what you currently have. Unreal.
