Should we buy him?
Should we buy Bale?
It's no secret that Bale is struggling in Spain.
It's even less of a secret that Utd fancy him, so it's more than likely that City fancy him too, and that we've considered him.
Gary Neville recently said that we should buy Bale, move Hazard centrally and watch the EPL fall before us. I personally think it's worth a shot if we believe Bale can get back his Spurs form, plus we'd then have 2 wingers to troll Spurs with (or three if you think Spurs thought they had a chance with Hazard).
He is also homegrown, which is always a plus.
Yes or no?

Re: Should we buy Bale?
How much are you guys willing to pay for him ? That's the real question . If he were to cost 25millions then it's a good deal but no way he'll be as cheap as that.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
It'll be something massive, obviously higher than the fee we paid for Torres, but I have no doubts that we could afford him.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
I like the idea in theory given his explosive pace but IMO I think he's highly overrated. I always see him as a LB that got put forward cos he scored a few then got bought from Madrid due to hype.
Moving Hazard centrally and getting a reliable winger on the sides sounds good but I doubt Bale is the best option

I also think he is overrated to a degree, but I don't think you can deny his ability.
There are worse options out there, and there is always the risk that he moves to Utd or City and lights up the EPL again.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
I am personally unsure.
There are lots of pro's, and con's.
Unlike some transfers which have lots of pro's and less cons, or vise versa.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
So a friend asked me about this yesterday, I'll just copy paste what I sent him
Bale has the footballing intelligence of a three year old with Down's syndrome. I want someone like ramires gone more then anyone else, but if the club is going to spend a stupid amount of money on a position we don't need more depth in, for a player who is all hype when there's a player like gundogan who we need in the last year of his contract I'd stop watching games
I'd sack mou and bring back Benitez before I bought bale, I honestly hope city or utd buy bale
All we need is to replace mikel and ramires with a decent CM and someone via promotion, bring in another #10 and replace drogba via promotion again
*expletive* Bale, there's nothing he can do that Willian can't and Willian isn't even that spectacular

Re: Should we buy Bale?
Strong no from Fitty.
I disagree that he is Willian's level. He is above Willian and almost the opposite, really. He brings goals and not much else. At the end of the day, goals win games so I'd be fine with him as long as he was scoring.
An alternative worth mentioning would be Greizmann, who we've been linked to.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
Kick's right on how he's very likely to bring us goals
If Cuadrado can emulate his YouTube performances, we should do fine in that department though

Re: Should we buy Bale?
Thats the thing with any wingers coming in, what happens to Cuadrado?
I personally believe he'll become a great player for us, once given time and a pre-season with us.
I'd like to see Willian step up and score a few more goals, then we'd be fine.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
We do need someone who can make runs behind the defense. We had that in Schurlle but decided to sell. Personally id rather spend less than half the money on someone like Greizemen or Lacazette instead.

Re: Should we buy Bale?
For the price Madrid would want, hell no.
I'd have to consider anything under £35M strongly, however that's not gonna happen.

If Madrid go trophlyless they need a scapegoat. They will sign pogba and sell Bale at a very much reduced price.

i like the idea of bale playing under mou, but the fee would be outrageous and something we wouldn't consider even though we can afford it
